Entertainment Link-Off: Get Tangled Up

It’s Thanksgiving Weekend in the United States, so Happy Thanksgiving to those who are south of the border. At this time of the year, there are plenty of films hitting the screens trying to make money from the long weekend. There’s the revenge action flick Faster starring Dwayne Johnson. Then Christina Aguilera and Cher collaborate in Burlesque. Disney is offering its own family fare Tangled starring Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore. I was going to kick off the ELO with something related to this movie, but then I came across Olivia Wilde’s latest photoshoot with Details. Might as well go with that since Tron Legacy will be hitting the screens very soon.

We’ve finally got a (new) release date for Gran Turismo 5. It’s on November 24 so you’ve got 10 days to either pre-order or camp out to get it. (Kotaku)

Sunday Link-Off: Too Damn High

Since I massacred yesterday’s entertainment links, how about I make it up to you with Candice Swanepoel?

The Dongslinger saga carries on. Now AJ Daulerio is fielding questions from journalism students over it. He handles himself well, though. (Sports Journalism)

The WHL isn’t what I would call “minor league” hockey but sometimes they dream up gimmicks like a standard minor league club. The Saskatoon Blades are wearing denim jacket-style jerseys for an upcoming game. (Sportress of Blogitude)

And speaking of minor league gimmicks, the KHL has a new idea to promote the league. They’re holding a contest (in conjunction with Playboy) where female fans send in swimsuit pictures and write why they love their KHL team. Makes perfect sense to me. (Puck Daddy)
