Entertainment Link-Off: Settling A Score

It’s September already?! Time certainly flies. So now that the summer burn-offs are out of the way, there’s finally a few movies to go see at the theatres again! Most notable one is the action throwback movie Machete starring Danny Trejo. He might not be the eye candy you’re looking for, but he does make a badass action hero. Speaking of eye candy, Jessica Alba is in this movie!

After the jump, a look at a Tron theme park, something that will help you understand Inception better, James Cameron fights off Piranhas, some love for Scott Pilgrim in the UK and watch out for a Hobo with a Shotgun. Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Flashes of Brilliance

For those of you in North America, this weekend marks the release of Iron Man 2! Leading off this ELO is Kate Mara. She briefly appears near the beginning of the film and that’s it. I know it’s a bit disappointing. I don’t know about you, but I certainly wouldn’t complain if Jon Favreau managed to somehow squeeze her in more scenes of the movie.

Oh by the way Friday Night Lights is back on NBC (Fridays at 8 pm), so remember to tune in folks!

After the jump another new J.J. Abrams project revealed, new Tron Legacy images, some Kick-Ass news, an awesome Street Fighter short film and the original Star Wars trilogy summarized in 2 minutes with Lego! Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Superheroes Galore!

Kicking off this edition of the Entertainment Link-Off is Scarlett Johansson. She’ll be appearing in the upcoming Iron Man sequel, which is a film I intend on seeing on opening day.

After the jump, a bunch of superhero related links and a random Youtube music recommendation from me! Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: An Epic of Epic Epicness

G’day everyone! It’s time for another edition of the ELO and this week, let’s kick it off with the newly single Cheryl Cole. Might as well introduce all the folks in North America to her now. If Simon Cowell gets his way, she’ll be in front of your TV screens very soon.

After the jump, Agent John Casey gets the Chuck Norris treatment, a small rivalry going on between Kick Ass and Clash of the Titans, the new Scott Pilgrim one-sheet, some Glee news, a TV theme songs medley and Hugh Jackman sings in Chinese! Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Back To Normal

G’day everyone! After a two month hiatus, I am back! I hope Steve didn’t scare anyone off while I was gone. Wait!!! Come back!!! Nooo!!! Dammit. Oh well, let’s kick off this Entertainment Link-Off with Kristin Kreuk. The former Smallville leading lady is now appearing on Chuck as a fellow Nerd Herder Hannah. Since she was recently cast in another Josh Schwartz pilot Hitched, don’t expect her to stick around Chuck for much longer. Let’s just enjoy her presence on the show while we can.

After the jump, a few tidbits on the Oscars, a look at some upcoming TV pilots and a behind the scenes look at ChatRoulette, the latest fad in social networking. Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Shop Til You Drop

It’s a slow week here since everyone is off on holidays. Today is Boxing Day, which means everyone is lined up at the malls looking for a deal. In fact, I’m heading out to grab something, so I’ll keep this one brief. For those that do not plan on heading out to the crowded shopping malls, here’s something for you to read! Kicking this off is Olivia Wilde. I swear these photoshoots are reminding me to go check out shows that I generally miss over the year. Alright, I’m off to grab some House DVDs! Yes I choose to watch Chuck live, so House tends to be on the back burner.

After the jump, brief tidbits on movies, the Home Alone Twitter Project and Glee Flashmob! Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Epic Disaster

summer glau 1This week the ELO features Summer Glau. She’ll be appearing in an upcoming episode of the recently canned Dollhouse. If FOX sticks to the schedule, she’ll be appearing on our TV screens on December 4th.

After the jump, Brett Ratner is a jack-ass, FOX has turned into the Seth MacFarlane Network and we take a look back at the loss of another great show. Continue reading
