Entertainment Link-Off: Lost Weekend!

That’s right, this Sunday marks the 2-hour series finale of the hit show Lost. Apparently they’re supposed to tie up all the loose ends, but who knows, we might all end up more confused about the show than when it first started off. Leading off this entry is Lost’s Evangeline Lilly.

After the jump Brett Ratner wants to be a comedian, Transformers 3 needs a new leading lady, dying superhero movies get a gritty reboot and a healthy TV fix to get you ready for next season. Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Off the Charts!

Finding someone to lead off the ELO this week was a bit of a struggle, so here is something from Amber Heard’s latest photoshoot with Jezebel. Oh she was also featured in the Maxim’s Hot 100 list and came in at number 13 this year. Not bad at all!

After the jump some Transformers 3 news, the fate of Heroes is in limbo, never trust robots that are panhandling on the streets and Alison Brie dishes on her dirty art school experiences. Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Flashes of Brilliance

For those of you in North America, this weekend marks the release of Iron Man 2! Leading off this ELO is Kate Mara. She briefly appears near the beginning of the film and that’s it. I know it’s a bit disappointing. I don’t know about you, but I certainly wouldn’t complain if Jon Favreau managed to somehow squeeze her in more scenes of the movie.

Oh by the way Friday Night Lights is back on NBC (Fridays at 8 pm), so remember to tune in folks!

After the jump another new J.J. Abrams project revealed, new Tron Legacy images, some Kick-Ass news, an awesome Street Fighter short film and the original Star Wars trilogy summarized in 2 minutes with Lego! Continue reading

I’ll be covering this in the upcoming episode of The Lowdown, but for those who are interested and can’t wait til the release of our next episode, you can catch a quick review here!

Sequels have a habit of running into trouble in terms of creativity or attaining the same level of enjoyment among the audience. Did the followup to the wildly successful Iron Man live up to expectations? Find out after the jump. Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Blockbuster Season Is Here

Leading off the Entertainment Link-Off this week is Lizzy Caplan. She recently appeared in the film Hot Tub Time Machine. That film is hilarious and is filled with some quite memorable one-liners. If you haven’t seen it, you should definitely go check it out.

After the jump, Roger Ebert hates 3D movies, a new Save Chuck campaign, a few tidbits on upcoming films and the Muppets released their commentary on the hit viral video Bohemian Rhapsody. Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Total Eclipse of the Heart

Kicking off this entry is something from Jessica Alba’s latest photoshoot for Total Film. I haven’t heard much about her lately, but she’ll be appearing in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete which is slated to hit theatres on September 3rd!

Entertainment Link-Off: Notable Quotables

It’s time for another edition of the Entertainment Link-Off. This weekend marks the release of Date Night starring Tina Fey and Steve Carrell. The newly single Leighton Meester also has a role as the babysitter for the main characters’ kids in the movie, so it might be worth checking out.

After the jump a Modern Family dilemma, Tron sequel talks, more discussion about 3D movies, an amazing short film by Carl Erik Rinsch and Megan Fox makes a hot teacher. Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: The Clash Begins

Happy Easter Saturday! I don’t know about you, but I’ve never called this day Easter Saturday, but apparently the Aussies do. Anyway, kicking off this link-off is Sharni Vinson. No she’s not in the movie Clash of the Titans (out this weekend), but she’ll be taking part in a clash of her own this summer in Step Up 3D.

After the jump a few April Fool’s related items, the writer of Battlefield Earth apologizes to all moviegoers, some movie trailers to check out and the Muppets celebrate Easter by eating bunny rabbits. Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Let’s Do the Time Warp

This weekend marks the release of a movie that features two totally unrelated things into one single concept. Yes, I am talking about Hot Tub Time Machine. It might be one of the most ridiculous movie titles out there, but it gets the point across. Lyndsy Fonseca (right) appears in this raunchy comedy. Keep an eye out for her since she’ll be showing up in front of the silver screen again when Kick Ass hits theatres April 16th!

After the jump Scott Pilgrim trailer finally hits the net, 3D movies aren’t the rage, a special edition of Sue’s Corner and an interesting biopic that should be made into a feature film. Continue reading
