Man Lab: Ten Manliest Cocktails 2012

It’s time for Christmas parties around the world. One thing is consistent among all parties: Everyone but the DD and the wait staff is drunk. However, it’s not exactly in fashion to down beer after beer. Unfortunately, beer is the staple of male alcoholic beverage consumption.

So it’s back to our Man Lab to help you figure out what you should drink at your fancy Christmas functions. As we do every year, here is our list of the top ten manliest drinks that aren’t beer or wine that you get away with drinking at a formal function. Continue reading

Man Lab Kitchen: Grey Cup Appetizers

The Man Lab Kitchen is open for big sporting events too. While the Grey Cup might be unheard of in America, in Canada, it’s a pretty big deal. Man Lab Showdown: Berenice Marlohe vs. Olga Kurylenko

With the premiere of the latest James Bond movie, Skyfall, tomorrow, I thought it was fitting that this month’s Man Lab Showdown was a battle of Bond Girls. In one corner is French actress Berenice Marlohe who stars in Skyfall as Sévérine. In the other is Ukranian actress Olga Kurylenko who played Camille in 2008’s Quantum of Solace.

More pictures and the poll after the jump. Continue reading

With Halloween just over a week, I thought we’d do something a bit different today. Have you ever tried making your own candy? I haven’t but thanks to some recipes that Bon Appetit has found, I might be willing to give it a try before Halloween. Giving it away probably isn’t a good idea but there’s nothing stopping you from eating it all yourself. Continue reading

Man Lab Link-Off: The Right Impression

Esquire definitely likes their buzz. In April, they held an online bracket poll to determine the hottest woman of 2012. In October, they name a sexiest woman alive. Sounds like the same thing to me but doing it twice helps you sell more magazines and get more traffic. Anyway, they named Mila Kunis the sexiest woman alive. I don’t agree but it was probably more about business than accuracy.

Since these Man Lab linkdumps are about all life advice for men, not just dating, let’s start with some employment help. Since jobs numbers are up and unemployment is coming down in America, it might be time to give you a quick refresher on getting a job. Here’s how to crush your job interview. (Mandatory)

After the jump, what women notice about men, some dating advice beyond the standard generic tips and the return of Liz Hurley. Continue reading
