There’s a lot of change in this week’s Power Rankings. We have one team make a huge jump of 15 spots into the top ten while a top five team from last week plummets 14 spots in the rankings. Not surprisingly, though, the bottom five saw very little change in the order. But, once again, a new team reaches the top of the Power Rankings. Nearly four months of workouts, practices and games has led us to one final game for national supremacy. The Laval Rouge et Or come into the game undefeated and hope to complete their season by winning the national championship at home. There’s no more polarizing figure in hockey than Don Cherry. The former Jack Adams Award winner as the NHL’s Coach of the Year translated a short time as coach of the Boston Bruins into a broadcast career that has made him a Canadian icon. He was even voted one of the ten greatest Canadians of all-time. That was despite his often controversial views on Europeans in the NHL, fighting’s place in hockey and the helmet visor. But even more famous than his view points is his wardrobe. Grapes’ attire is the stuff of legend across Canada. While it’s often horrible, it’s always memorable.
