Entertainment Link-Off: Notorious

I’ve drawn in for Jackie for this week’s edition of the Entertainment Link-Off. To kick things off, here’s Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive Katrina Bowden. If you watch 30 Rock (which I haven’t since the first episode with the exception of the Night Court episode), you might have seen her.

The FBI don’t have a reputation for being the most open agency of the US government but they made an effort this week. They’ve made files from their investigation into the murder of Notorious BIG open to the public. (LA Times)

Entertainment Link-Off: Swing and A Miss

Worst of Music: Katy Perry – E.T.

This week’s WoM was actually a tough decision. There were a good eight songs on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 that could be legitimate Worst of Music winners this week. (Bruno Mars’s Grenade already won the WoM and the other is Cee Lo Green’s Fuck You which I like.) So I went with the song of the week that could have been the greatest but failed miserably. Entertainment Link-Off: Mind-bending Reality

It’s another loaded weekend at the box office. For those in Canada, you can enjoy the “greatest Canadian movie ever” (quoted from Steve Murray) called Hobo with a Shotgun. Meanwhile for the rest of the folks in North America, how about some eye candy galore in Sucker Punch? Ok it’s getting drubbed by critics as Zack Snyder’s first misfire, but the stylistic action and the lead actresses are worth a look. Kicking off this entry is Jamie Chung who plays Amber in the film.

Worst of Music: Rebecca Black – Friday

Normally I go to the Billboard Hot 100 to pick the WoM each week. This week, Twitter made my choice for me thanks to the week’s big musical trending topic. Rebecca Black is a 13-year-old girl whose father bought her a song produced by a company that specializes in producing songs for teens. Entertainment Link-Off: Ching Chong Ling Long Ting Tong

It’s Saturday, so it’s time for another round of the Entertainment Link-Off. It’s a decent showing at the movies this weekend as we get three films all worthy of a look. First there’s the sci-fi comedy Paul starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Then there’s Matthew McConaughey channeling his inner lawyer once again in The Lincoln Lawyer. Finally there’s the thriller on a faux wonderdrug called Limitless starring Bradley Cooper and Abbie Cornish (pictured).
