Entertainment Link-Off: One Sheen-ing Moment

I’m back in the saddle again for another set of entertainment links. To make up for it, I was going to go with Brooklyn Decker from Just Go With It but I refuse to support the Sandler/Aniston machine (despite the cameo by Dan Patrick). So here’s I Am Number Four’s Teresa Palmer.

The biggest entertainment news of the week came from a sports talk radio show. Dan Patrick scored the interview coup of the year with his interviews with Charlie Sheen. (Sports Radio Interviews)

Here’s the story of how DP landed the interview with Sheen and how he ended up in seven Sandler movies. (The Wrap)

So Watson kicked the asses of mankind’s best on Jeopardy much to the surprise of no one. But you can do battle with Watson (or at lease his algorithms) in this online game. (New York Times)

Epic Meal Time – Chocolate and Hearts

This week, the crew at Epic Meal Time did a special Valentine’s Day episode which was all heart. Well, not all heart. In addition to chicken and lamb hearts, there was chocolate (and bacon). Formula One: 2011 Jerez Test Recap

The second week of F1 testing ahead of the 2011 season started on a somber note after Robert Kubica’s accident the weekend prior in a rally in Italy. All the teams carried get well soon messages on their cars. Three different drivers ran the Lotus Renault GP R31 in testing and one even topped the time sheet during the third day’s running. This week’s testing saw many more names atop the daily time sheets than last week’s. Continue reading →

Worst of Music: Celine Dion – My Heart Will Go On

For this week’s WoM, I thought that we should go with a timeless classic love song. And by timeless classic, I mean a song that would make the all-time list of bad songs. Before Avatar came out a couple years ago, Titanic was the highest grossing movie of all-time. Its theme song was Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On. Lots of women like it but those are mostly those who like easy listening music/ The rest of world, and especially Canada, hates this song with a passion. Sunday Link-Off: V-Day Warmup

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. Shockingly, one member of Team Lowdown actually does have plans (I would assume). Not surprisingly, it’s neither Jackie nor me. Anyway, here’s Adriana Lima.

Since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, it’s only appropriate that we start with a Valentine’s Day infographic. (Cool Material)

Tomorrow is also the first day of Ken Jennings vs. a computer on Jeopardy. The problem with that matchup is that Jennings has the deck stacked against him. (Esquire)
