A couple of weeks ago, Baseball Nation looked at the ugliest hats licensed by Major League Baseball. A few days before that, I paid a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame and it was plainly clear that the NHL doesn’t exactly screen what its apparel manufacturers make. The likes of Reebok, Zephyr and more NHL partners are pumping out awful examples of headwear. So here are the 20 ugliest hats you can buy from the National Hockey League. Continue reading

Worst of Music: Rihanna – S&M (Live)
This week’s Worst of Music comes from the comments of last week’s WoM post. AbandonCulture nominated Rihanna’s S&M performance from the Billboard Music Awards last weekend for this week’s WoM. Now, I know we’ve already done S&M on the WoM before but this live performance is just a whole new barrel of laughs and AC brings up a good point in her nomination that made me rethink my initial assessment of this song. Sunday Link-Off: Boom Goes The Dynamite
It’s time for another edition of the Sunday links. To celebrate no more new Glee episodes for the next four months, here’s Lea Michele.
The ESPN book came out came out this week and ESPN radio even featured interviews with the author. However, ESPN higher-ups scripted the interviews so ESPN wouldn’t come out looking too bad. Former ESPN personalities Dan Patrick and Rich Eisen saw the humour in the situation. (Sports By Brooks)

Entertainment Link-Off: Bangkok Dangerous
It’s deja vu for Hangover 2! So we get a rehash of the hit comedy, except this time it’s set in Thailand. I don’t know about you, but the trailer was definitely not as funny the second time around. Anyway, this installment got rid of Heather Graham and threw in Jamie Chung instead. So here she is kicking off the ELO this week.
After the jump The Muppets parody The Hangover, a bit more on our Man-Lab showdown, 3D film related news, LeBron is no Michael Jordon and watch Abed in Cougar Town! Continue reading
Man Lab: Ten Cocktails to Order Women
At Christmas, I examined the ten manliest cocktails for you to order at a bar. However, making yourself look manly with your choice of beverage is only half the battle. There is also the time-honoured tradition of buying drinks for women. This is where most men get hung up. It’s very easy to intercept a waitress and say that her drink is on you or to buy her another round of the same drink. It takes a real man to go off the board and buy her a drink of your choice.
So we’ve tasked the Man Lab with figuring out which cocktails are the best to order for women. Continue reading
Man Lab Link-Off: Cooking
It’s time for another edition of all the links of for the modern man. Let’s kick off with Bar Refaeli. I’m assuming Leo DiCaprio is either blind or in the closet to dump Bar. It’s just impossible to think he had a logical reason.
Don’t ask me how this UBC study works but it essentially says that women love bad boys. Proud or shamed looking men are more attractive to women than happy men. Maybe that Twilight dude was onto something. (Health Zone)
After the jump, how to meet women, strange hangover cures and advice from movie dads. Continue reading
F1 Power Rankings: Monaco Grand Prix
We’re only six races into the season and still six months from the season finale but we’ve reached the biggest race of the 2011 Formula One World Championship. The Monaco Grand Prix is the most prestigious race on the calendar and one that every driver wants to win. Four of the top five drivers in this year’s championship have won on the streets of the principality. The one man who hasn’t is the man who has dominated 2011 so far. Continue reading

It’s time for another edition of the Wednesday links. Unusually, these are coming together at the last second. I need to start planning better. Maybe Rosie Huntington-Whiteley would appreciate that.
ESPN’s web great Bill Simmons remembers the great “Macho Man” Randy Savage. (ESPN)
And speaking of ESPN, the behind-the-scenes of ESPN book came out yesterday. Here’s a look at some of the feuds that we found out about because of the book. (USA Today)
This is the most important link of the day and maybe all-time. It’s a recipe for making Big Macs at home. (Caveman Circus)
After the jump, how to realign the NHL, the world’s freakiest Peter Cushing bust and Jose Bautista goes beast mode. Continue reading
