I’m back for the latest edition of the Entertainment Link-Off. There is a wide selection of films to check out this weekend including the animated film Rango starring Johnny Depp, the thriller The Adjustment Bureau starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt or perhaps CBS’ modern adaptation of Beauty and the Beast called Beastly. Oh almost forgot, there’s also the much delayed release of the comedy Take Me Home Tonight starring Topher Grace and Teresa Palmer. If you’re not interested, you can still catch Teresa in the sci-fi actioner I Am Number Four.
After the jump, CW fail, some Oscars related tidbits that don’t necessarily involve James Franco, Charlie Sheen quotables, Darth Vader tackles a Toyota, first look at Tron Uprising and another round of movie charades for Modern Family. Continue reading
Since she’s one half of the Academy Awards hosting team, here’s Anne Hathaway.
The Oscars are this weekend. Obviously, Ricky Gervais won’t be
allowed there. That hasn’t stopped him from writing a slip for the opening monologue for the show. (RickyGervais.com)
In fact, not only will Gervais not be at the Oscars, he won’t even be watching the show. (Hollywood Reporter)
And speaking of people not allowed at the Oscars, I’m going to guess Charlie Sheen won’t be allowed there. Hell, he’s not even allowed on CBS after the network shut down Two and a Half Men for the season. (HitFix)
After the jump, the latest details on some movies in development, the worst actors in Hollywood and leaked Two and a Half Men footage. Continue reading
It’s time for another edition of the Entertainment Link-Off. Since there weren’t any films released this weekend that I wanted to talk about, let’s kick off with someone starring in an upcoming flick. Here’s Jamie Chung kicking ass in the latest Complex magazine photoshoot. Look out for her in Sucker Punch this March.
After the jump, a PG-13 version of The King’s Speech is in the works, some Office news, marketing fail on TV networks, Scott Pilgrim in 60 seconds, the return of Old Spice Guy and Elmo loves you too! Continue reading
The new year is here! Here’s the first Entertainment Link-Off of 2011. Kicking things off is Beau Garrett. You can catch her as Gem in Tron Legacy, though you may have some trouble recognizing her in the film. Speaking of Tron Legacy, looks like the film is still doing decent business at the box office.
After the jump, Patton Oswalt thinks geek culture is dead, sci-fi movies defies physics, Tron rules Twitter, 3D overload and Freddie Wong is at it again with another awesome short. Continue reading
This Sunday marks the debut of the highly anticipated WWII drama The Pacific on HBO. With a price tag of over $150M (US), the miniseries has established itself as the most expensive TV production to ever take place in Australia. I normally enjoy watching war epics, so I was planning to check it out, but since Isabel Lucas is in it, there’s more incentive to tune in!
After the jump, some Tron Legacy stuff, a look at TV shows on the bubble, an excess of Youtube videos and a few links that will make people go “WTF!” Continue reading
It’s Saturday, so that means it’s time for another edition of the Entertainment Link-Off. Kicking off this week is Gemma Arterton. She was a Bond girl in Quantum of Solace (yeah, I haven’t see it either). Never heard of her? No worries! She’ll be making her blockbuster splash this year with the upcoming Clash of the Titans and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
After the jump Jennifer Love Hewitt found a new way to decorate herself, more on the upcoming TV season, a behind the scenes look at Tim Burton’s work, a SNL presidential reunion and Roger Ebert speaks! Continue reading
G’day everyone! After a two month hiatus, I am back! I hope Steve didn’t scare anyone off while I was gone. Wait!!! Come back!!! Nooo!!! Dammit. Oh well, let’s kick off this Entertainment Link-Off with Kristin Kreuk. The former Smallville leading lady is now appearing on Chuck as a fellow Nerd Herder Hannah. Since she was recently cast in another Josh Schwartz pilot Hitched, don’t expect her to stick around Chuck for much longer. Let’s just enjoy her presence on the show while we can.
After the jump, a few tidbits on the Oscars, a look at some upcoming TV pilots and a behind the scenes look at ChatRoulette, the latest fad in social networking. Continue reading
