Man Lab Showdown: Gina Carano vs. Kate Beckinsale
This weekend sees a new Hollywood star premiere in her first movie while another star returns to the franchise that made her a breakout star. Former-ish MMA fighter Gina Carano stars in Haywire which boasts a A-list cast and crew. Former sexiest woman alive Kate Beckinsale returns to the Underworld franchise in Awakening. And both brunette actresses are better known for their looks than their acting skills.

Thursday Link-Off: Back Online
The world is back online today after yesterday’s blackout protest to combat SOPA. It turns out that we weren’t blacked out but we do have that snazzy anti-SOPA ribbon in the upper-right. Speaking of snazzy, that’s one way of describing Jessica Alba at the Golden Globes.

What Is SOPA and Why Is The Internet Shutdown Today?
Today is an internet wide protest against SOPA, the Stop Online Piracy Act, and PIPA, the Protect IP Act. Both these acts were drafted as a measure to curb online piracy but it can be politely described as the shotgun approach to a solution. It basically makes everyone liable for piracy from the companies doing any unauthorized streaming or hosting of files, any company that is deemed to facilitate said streaming or downloading, and anyone actually doing the downloading or streaming. In other words, everyone one on the internet could potentially run afoul of SOPA.

This week is the world-famous Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction is the premier classic and rare car auction in the world. It’s the sort of thing that rich people go to for buying new status symbols and where real men go to drool over what basically is automotive erotica. It’s basically a week-long celebration of the car where gearheads are king. Worst of Music: Keshia Chante – Table Dancing
This week’s Worst of Music doesn’t come from the usual suspects on the Billboard Hot 100. Instead, it comes courtesy the producers of Canada’s New Year’s Eve show from Niagara Falls. The first act of the night was R&B turned dance singer Keshia Chante. Good Canadian artist seldom have any trouble getting a break in the US market. Sunday Link-Off: The People’s Choice
The People’s Choice Awards were last week. Canada swept the awards for favourite TV drama actor and actress. Nathan Fillion took home the favourite actor award. The favourite actress award was taken home by Nina Dobrev.

The London 2012 Olympics Commemorative Coins
The Royal Mint has released a serious of special collector coins to commemorate the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games. As part of these collector coins, the Royal Mint had the public submit designs for the coins. Some were amazing like the football (AKA soccer) coin which explains the offside rule while others like tennis are very underwhelming.
