Car Wall: New for 2015

Since we’ve quasi-relaunched The Lowdown Blog today, I thought that we should do something a little bit different and little bit special for the official launch of the redesign. That’s why today features the first update of the Car Wall in a blog post in over five years. Yeah, this has been coming for a while.

If you’ve been following us since 2007, you know that the Car Wall is sort of what kicked off our Man Lab. The Car Wall is all about those cars that will get you attention from women. The cooler a car is, the more attention that you should get. For example, Kias and Hyundais aren’t cool because they out you as cheap which is not a good first impression.

So for today’s car wall, we have five cars to rate as the new model year gets underway.

The Best of Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas 2013

Barrett-Jackson only runs four of its world-famous collector car auctions each year. The final auction is one of its newer ones. This weekend is Barrett-Jackson’s 6th annual Las Vegas auction which appropriately takes place on The Strip at the Mandalay Bay Resort.

Every year, millions of people drop billions of dollars in casinos looking to win the big jackpot. At Barrett-Jackson, car buyers will spend millions of dollars hoping to hit the jackpot by buying the car of their dreams or a collector car that will increase in value. So here are five of my favourite cars from this week’s auction that will be a cool ride for the lucky buyer that hits the auction block jackpot.

This week is the world-famous Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction is the premier classic and rare car auction in the world. It’s the sort of thing that rich people go to for buying new status symbols and where real men go to drool over what basically is automotive erotica. It’s basically a week-long celebration of the car where gearheads are king. The Barrett-Jackson Orange County auction is the most recent addition to the Barrett-Jackson auction circuit. While there aren’t as many cars (or as high prices) as the massive Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, that doesn’t mean it isn’t a proper man’s weekend where guys go to drool over what basically is automotive erotica. Logos After The Recession

As you know, the economy sucks.  I’m not going to try and explain why the economy is on a continuous tailspin because hedge funds lost all their value because banks defaulted on loans they owe because people they loaned money to defaulted on their loans.

Instead, the global economic crisis has caused some major international corporations to update their logos to reflect the times.
