Entertainment Link-Off: Ching Chong Ling Long Ting Tong

It’s Saturday, so it’s time for another round of the Entertainment Link-Off. It’s a decent showing at the movies this weekend as we get three films all worthy of a look. First there’s the sci-fi comedy Paul starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Then there’s Matthew McConaughey channeling his inner lawyer once again in The Lincoln Lawyer. Finally there’s the thriller on a faux wonderdrug called Limitless starring Bradley Cooper and Abbie Cornish (pictured).

After the jump, the Chinese are no longer the villains in Red Dawn, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reenact Star Wars, manchildren are in danger according to Ben Stiller, Wile E Coyote reenacts 127 Hours, Elmo gets tickled and video responses to that rant about Asians by UCLA student Alexandra Wallace. It’s time for the third and final part of our Formula One season preview. With the examination of the teams, drivers, and new rules out of the way, it’s time to put all of the information we have together for predictions for the 2011 season. Of course, the combination of the new rules and testing times is not necessarily an accurate portrayal of who’s fast which makes predicting the season a difficult proposition. However, as we like to say around here: We’re ambitious but rubbish. Continue reading

Not News of the Week

It’s time for all the news that’s not fit for print. It’s time for the Not News of the Week.

A man in Kentucky has come up with a new excuse to get off on DUI charges and it has to do with him trying to get off. He claimed that the erratic driving that caused him to be pulled over was because his girlfriend was performing oral sex on him while he was driving. The man was pulled over by the cops, failed several field sobriety tests and blew 0.54 on the breathalyzer. I’m not a lawyer but I think that the judge would swallow this defense. Continue reading

Worst of Music: Jennifer Lopez – On The Floor

When she signed up for American Idol, it wasn’t for the good of the future stars of the music industry. It was so she could revive her nearly dead career. Unfortunately for JLo, it’s Steven Tyler that became the breakout new star from this season of American Idol. That hasn’t stopped her from trying to revive her musical career, unfortunately for us. For this week’s WoM, JLo teams up with Pitbull for On The Floor. Continue reading

All 12 teams were in attendance for the final test which was once again held at the Circuit de Catalunya, host to the Spanish Grand Prix. Not surprisingly, Red Bull and Ferrari were the fastest looking cars once again. However, a few more teams laid down some times to show that they wouldn’t be pushovers either. Continue reading
