Sunday Link-Off: Blinded Me With Science

We’ve reached the end of another week at Lowdown HQ. For the last week, I haven’t known which day of the week it was but I always know when it’s Sunday. And as a special treat to kickoff today’s links, here’s the blog debut of Marloes Horst.

With the new Three Stooges movie coming out this weekend (which I’m terrified to actually watch), I think now’s a good time to look back on the history of the original Three Stooges. (Neatorama)

F1 Power Rankings: Chinese Grand Prix

Two races into the 2012 Formula One World Championship and we only know that we know almost nothing. McLaren look to be the fastest but have yet to prove themselves on a permanent race circuit this season. Mercedes AMG are fast in qualifying when there’s unlimited DRS use which allows them to engage the front-wing F-duct. The Sauber appears to be the best of the rest but Williams could grab that spot if they had some luck.

This race could be the most important one to set the tone for the season if it’s dry. We’ve yet to have a dry race at a Tilke-drome and how you perform on Hermann Tilke-designed circuits is the biggest factor in success during the season. Continue reading →

Wednesday Link-Off: That Indie Spirit

I’ve never heard of Emily Ratajkowski before (apparently she’s an actress in addition to being a model) and clearly that’s a massive oversight.

When the most popular wrestler in the WWE is Daniel Bryan and the least popular is John Cena, you know that independent wrestling is slowly taking over the major pro wrestling landscape. (Grantland)

WWE Wrestlemania 28 Review

Every sport has it’s one signature event. Golf has The Masters. Hockey has the Stanley Cup Final. Football has the Super Bowl. For professional wrestling, it begins and ends with Wrestlemania. This year’s Wrestlemania featured such themes as the End Of An Era as the Undertaker and Triple H would wrestle one last time. Sunday Link-Off: Happy Easter Time

Despite the fact that I’m an atheist, even I’m willing to admit we’re more SEO-friendly by referencing Easter. Anyway, here’s Xenia Deli. She’s a Beach Bunny Swimwear model along with another famous model who we’ll have a little later on.

Darren Dreger gets a lot more respect from fans and media than I remember him getting while at Sportsnet. I’m not saying that TSN’s PR machine has turned him into a respectable inside but it is a remarkable change from host to insider. Anyway, he’s still an idiot.
