So the highly anticipated sequel to Divergent is finally out this weekend. Though it is apparently visually stunning, it looks like Insurgent is a rather dull entry to the apocalyptic YA franchise. Anyway, you can catch the newly single Suki Waterhouse in a small role in this film.

Before the next installment of the Divergent series hits theatres, Disney is gonna cash in on a classic tale this weekend with Cinderella. Based on strong reviews and word of mouth, it looks like this flick will be dominating the box office. So let’s kick things off with the lead Lily James. Apparently the corset was so tight during filming, she had to stick to a liquid diet. Ouch!

Looks like we can finally catch a glimpse of the sci-fi epic Jupiter Ascending after several months delay this weekend. I suppose this will be good counter programming to Fifty Shades of Grey. Speaking of which, that film is making massive amounts of moolah right now. So let’s kick this off with Dakota Johnson, which apparently is the lone bright spot in the critically panned film.

I can’t believe it’s already February! Anyway, it’s a decent weekend at the movies with two critically panned sci-fi flicks that might still be worth checking out. There’s the found footage time travel pic Project Almanac and also the Wachowski’s latest effort Jupiter Ascending. If you’re not into these flicks however, you might want to catch up on the premiere episodes of Fresh Off the Boat. Great new comedy on ABC right now. Kicking off this ELO is Kate Mara. She is looking mighty fit. Definitely looking forward to the release of Fantastic Four this summer.

Into the Woods just hit the screens in Australia so that’s the film that I’m most excited about checking out this weekend. Meanwhile, everyone else can enjoy the third installment to the Taken series as Liam Neeson kicks all kinds of ass once again. Despite the constant decline in quality throughout the film franchise, there’s is always a good reason to see it and it’s all because of Maggie Grace.
