Halloween is just under a week away. As usual, I still haven’t carved my pumpkin for the year yet. Everyone knows how to carve a standard Jack-o-Lantern but I really don’t want to stick to the status quo pumpkin design. That’s why I once again looked up some amazing looking Jack-o-Lanterns for inspiration. Maybe you should take note when carving yours.
F1 Power Rankings: Indian Grand Prix
Well, are we all still pretending that Fernando Alonso still has a prayer to win the World Drivers’ Championship or have we just given up on that? It’s a 90-point gap with four races to go. All Vettel has to do is come out of this race with a 75-point lead and he wins his fourth-straight title. If he finishes in the top five, he wins the title. If Alonso misses the podium, Vettel wins the title. Yeah, it’s basically done.
So, yeah… Get excited for the Power Rankings…?
Wednesday Link-Off: The Political Games
Boom! Links! Pow! Barbara Palvin! Was that how the intermission promo from Blades of Steel went, right? Anyway, it’s time for the Wednesday links. Let’s get this post started.

IndyCar – IndyCar World Championship 500: Third Time’s The Charm
In each of the last four seasons, the last thing you wanted to do was lead the IndyCar championship heading into the final race of the season. In each of the last four seasons, the points leader at the start of the final race is not the points leader at the end of that race. It took the last man to hold his lead through the final race to break that streak as Scott Dixon won the championship after an exciting and tense race.
Sunday Link-Off: A Sad Reality
Happy Sunday, one and all. It’s time for the links. Or some links any way. I’ve been having bad luck finding good links that I like lately. Hopefully I can make up for that with Candice Swanepoel in Victoria Secret’s $10 million fantasy bra. Three questions: 1) Who thinks multi-million dollar lingerie is a good idea? 2) What happens if they break it? And 3) Can I get one jewel off it? Just one?
Daisy Coleman, the Maryville rape victim we mentioned earlier this week, wrote about her experience in her own words. (xoJane)
Rob Ford may think that he was done wrong by the press breaking and covering the crack scandal story but the Ontario Press Council says that the media has been doing their job correctly. (CBC News)
How did Jeff Bezos turn Amazon into the most powerful store in the world? A new book is trying to answer that questions. (Businessweek)
Entertainment Link-Off: Finding A Way Out
This weekend we got a Sly and Ah-nold teaming up for Escape Plan. Given their solo features this year were duds, maybe a team-up can spark their box office fortunes. On the other end is the remake of Carrie. While there were formidable performances from the stars including Chloe Grace Moretz, the general consensus is that the remake was unnecessary and doesn’t add anything new to the table. Also featured in the movie is Gabriella Wilde, so let’s kick this all off with her.

How Much is the Order of the Phoenix HQ Worth? (Infographic)
A couple of months back, we ran a fairly popular infographic about the value of the Wealey family home, The Burrow. Now, we’re back with a new Harry Potter themed infographic.
Have you ever wondered how much a disappearing six-floor house in the middle of London is worth? Well, if you’d read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, you’d probably be a little interested in how much the Order’s headquarters would have set them back if it wasn’t the ancestral home of the Black family. Fortunately, our friends at Movato have an answer for us.
