Sunday Link-Off: Millions of Dollars, Millions of Lies
Just to show how up-to-date we are, we have links about the last debate the day before the next Presidential election debate. But before we get to the links, making an all too rare appearance on the blog, here’s Alessandra Ambrosio who was selected to model this year’s multi-million dollar Victoria’s Secret bra. I wonder if Ann Romney owns any of those?

Fact check time! In 41 minutes of talking, Mitt Romney lied 31 times which outpaced his lies per minute rate from the first debate. (Think Progress)
One of the big memes to come from the debate was Mitt Romney’s binders full of women. However, rather than becoming a meme, that statement should be used as a jumping off point for Romney’s apparent lack of interest in women’s issues like pay equity and women’s rights. (The Guardian)

Mass Effect 3 Omega: How Much Is Too Much For DLC?
Last week, the latest leak/rumour about the upcoming Mass Effect 3 DLC, currently called Omega, came to light. A fan interviewed ME3 producer Mike Gamble who said that the upcoming Mass Effect 3 Omega DLC would be twice as long as any other Mass Effect 3 DLC. The big news, however, was that the price of the DLC would be $15, which is $5 more than the next most expensive Mass Effect DLC. Continue reading

Wednesday Link-Off: Debate This
I know there was a presidential debate last night but the thorough analysis wasn’t out in time to make this post. I’m not staying up until the early hours of Eastern time to add the one or two links that isn’t just biased spin. If I wanted that, I’d watch Fox News. They’re so “fair and balanced” that they almost weren’t allowed the broadcast in Canada as a news channel. Anyway, we still have some news and politics links. But first, here’s Canadian actress Emmanuelle Chriqui.
Good news if you plan to rely on Medicare at some point during the next 20 years: Both candidates for President will spend about the same on it. Bad news if you plan to rely on Medicaid at some point over the next 20 years: The Romney/Ryan plan will pretty much bankrupt it. (Mother Jones)

F1 Korean GP: Looking For A Three-Peat
In the two races since the European portion of the season ended, Sebastian Vettel has dominated proceedings. So it wasn’t much of a surprise that Vettel took his third-straight race victory. His win and Alonso’s third place finish has given the twice-defending champion the lead in the World Drivers’ Championship.
