Wednesday Link-Off: Wet Hot Aussie Summer

It’s a lovely Sunday here in Melbourne as The Steve Murray World Tour carries on. So let’s kick this off with some Aussie eye candy, Nicky Whelan.

No wide releases at the box office this weekend so it’ll be the same old battle between sparkling vampires and Muppets for the top spot. Anyway, just gonna kick off the latest ELO with Korean pop star (and also fellow Canadian) G.NA.

Entertainment Link-Off: Closer Than You Think

After several weeks of rotten films hitting the screen at the theatres, it’s rather refreshing to see three fresh films debuting at the box office this weekend. Topping the critically applauded films is The Muppers starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams. I figured it would be appropriate to start off with the leading actress from the film no?

Entertainment Link-Off: Like Crazy

Well I’m back to write up another edition of the Entertainment Link-Off. Steve is probably glad he doesn’t have to throw in something last minute again. Anyway, there’s a handful of surprisingly rotten films this weekend at the box office. There’s the visual extravaganza The Immortals starring future Superman Henry Cavill. Also, there’s another Leonardo Dicaprio’s attempt at an Oscar (more on that later) in J. Edgar. Since I missed the release of Like Crazy from last week, I thought I just ignore the films this weekend and kick things off with British actress Felicity Jones.

It’s Saturday night, so you know what that means! It’s ELO time! In theatres this weekend is the animated flick Puss in Boots. Alternatively, there’s the sci-fi actioner In Time starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. So let’s just start this all off with the leading lady from the latter film shall we?

Entertainment Link-Off: Laugh at the Face of Danger

Time for the Entertainment Link-Off once again. This weekend at the movies, you can catch the horror flick Paranormal Activity 3. Alternatively, there’s also The Three Musketeers 3D. Better yet, for comedy fans, Rowan Atkinson is back as Johnny English in Johnny English Reborn. I had a chance to see this flick a month back and I have to say, despite the rather predictable plot, the film was good for its physical comedy. Oh it also helps that Rosamund Pike is in the movie too!

Entertainment Link-Off: The Thing Becomes You!

It’s a good weekend if you’re feeling a little retro. For those into something a bit lighter, there’s the Footloose remake starring Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough. Meanwhile on the other end of the spectrum is the paranoia filled sci-fi horror flick prequel The Thing starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead! It’s also quite appropriate to start off with something from her latest photoshoot with Esquire.
