I was fairly certain that the field for the 2011 Worst of Music award was set by this point of the calendar. Rebecca Black’s Friday and Pitbull’s Give Me Everything were the clear frontrunners with a half-dozen or so darkhorses with an outside chance. Well, the top two just got some company thanks to this week’s WoM winner. I thought the backing music was back but add in the atrocious lyrics and you suddenly have a song which contends for the worst of the year. This week’s WoM is B.o.B featuring Lil Wayne with Strange Clouds. Continue reading

Entertainment Link-Off: Rock’em Sock’em
It’s the battle of t
he rock’em sock’em robots at the box office this weekend. Playing the female lead/love interest in the film is former Lost star Evangeline Lilly, so let’s start off this ELO with her!
After the jump, filming Fast 6 and 7 back to back, Kirsten Dunst finds out what a Manic Pixie Dream Girl means, a look at NBC’s Community and check out one of the newest tracks from David Choi. Continue reading
Night Court: The Complete Listing Of Every Episode On The Internet
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before but I’m a huge fan of the classic NBC sitcom Night Court. I grew up watching the show and always watched it when it would occasionally pop up in reruns and syndication on TV. But thanks to the internet, you don’t have to wait for something to pop up on TV to watch it.
So through some painstaking research, I’ve managed to dig up every Night Court episode on the internet and compile them all here. Continue reading
Worst of Music: LMFAO – Sexy And I Know It
Despite my well-known hatred for dance music, I could actually tolerate the summer’s smash hit Party Rock by LMFAO. Of course, it also wasn’t dance/club/disco music trying to masquerade as something else. It was actually nice to have a dance song that was just that instead of a rap/hip-hop/pop song with dance backing music in a blatant attempt to gain sales by taking over the club scene. And that brings us to this week’s Worst of Music. LMFAO’s new big single goes away from the direction set by Party Rock. This week’s WoM is LMFAO’s Sexy And I Know It. Continue reading
Entertainment Link-Off: Against All Odds
This weekend marks the release of the highly touted dramedy 50/50 starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Anna Kendrick also makes a splash in the film, so we’re kicking off this week’s edition of the Entertainment Link-Off with her.
After the jump, the new Mortal Kombat movie is finally happening, a list of films that won’t be good in 3D, a theatre got fined for showing The Hangover 2, digging up some Jurassic Park stuff and don’t you wish your cat had as much swagger as Puss in Boots? Continue reading
Ten Worst Finishing Moves In The WWE Today
One thing I noticed over that short period where CM Punk made watching today’s WWE tolerable to watch again was that some finishing moves are awful. They either look like they lack punch or look ridiculous in the sense of “how can you pull that off?” I know that a key part of wrestling is for fans to suspend their disbelief like watching a TV show. But like any TV show, there are moments that you can’t suspend your disbelief through. So with that as the criteria, here are the ten worst finishers in today’s WWE. Continue reading
Worst of Music: Cobra Starship – You Make Me Feel
Normally I do a long lead in before introducing this week’s Worst of Music artist but I really wanted to like these guys. Cobra Starship did the not-at-all related song for Snakes On A Plane called, imaginatively, Snakes On A Plane (Bring It). No, the song didn’t really have anything to do with the movie but it started with the famous Sam Jackson line from the movie so it wasn’t that bad. But what happens when you have Cobra Starship and subtract Samuel L. Motherfucking Jackson? You have this week’s WoM-winning You Make Me Feel. Continue reading
Entertainment Link-Off: Gonna Get Over You
It’s Entertainment Link-Off time since it’s Saturday night! Kicking off this entry is Lily Collins who is starring in the Taylor Lautner actioner Abduction. Sadly the film is critically panned, so perhaps something on the other end of the spectrum is worth seeing… like Moneyball for example!
After the jump, some Elmo related news, Batman likes to beat clowns, Conan O’Brien has a guy moment, an awesome office escape video and two song recommendations to make up for my missing music segment from the upcoming podcast! Continue reading
Jerry Seinfeld – I’m Telling You For The Last Time
Jerry Seinfeld is best known for his eponymous NBC sitcom which was one of the most successful sitcoms of all-time. What you may not know is that he’s also a pretty funny stand-up comic. In fact, his live shows are renowned for being far better than his made-for-network-TV stand-up featured during the show. However, those live Seinfeld shows cost an arm and a leg to go to. So since I’m passing on my own overpriced opportunity to see Jerry live, I thought I’d do the next best thing: Watching Jerry Seinfeld’s legendary 1998 I’m Telling You For The Last Time show. Continue reading
Worst of Music: Lady Gaga – You And I
There comes a point in some artists’ careers when their style outweighs their substance but the substance is enough to make them chart toppers. Take my campaign earlier this year against the Black Eyed Peas who haven’t put out a good song since 2006. This week’s Worst of Music winning artist really hasn’t put out what I’d call a good song since 2008. Edge of Glory was okay but that was definitely only written to sell to sports networks for video packages. I guess that just gave away this week’s WoM winner. It’s Lady Gaga’s new single You And I. Continue reading
