Worst of Music: Pitbull – Don’t Stop The Party

When it comes to finding new songs for our semi-regular Worst of Music feature, I usually go to the Billboard Hot 100 charts. However, a barrage of ads for Pitbull’s new album, called Global Warming, convinced me that there’s a WoM winner on that album. That Worst of Music winner is Pitbull’s most recent single Don’t Stop the Party. Continue reading

Worst of Music: will.i.am and Britney Spears – Scream & Shout

When I heard that will.i.am and Britney were collaborating on a song, I knew that it was likely to win a Worst of Music award. Being a fair person, I thought that it would only be fair to actually listen to it. Unfortunately, my willingness to listen to it meant I gave them far too much credit in their ability to make a good song. So this week’s WoM winner is will.i.am and Britney Spears’ Scream and Shout. Worst of Music: Nicole Westbrook – It’s Thanksgiving

I’m sure that you all remember Rebecca Black of the YouTube sensation Friday. Well, the heartless and soulless producer of Friday is back with a new viral song for our listening pleasure. Wait, did I say pleasure? This new song might actually be worse than Friday. The writer of Friday is back under the PMW Live label with a song by Nicole Westbrook called It’s Thanksgiving. Continue reading

Worst of Music: Tom Cruise – Pour Some Sugar On Me

When people say that Hollywood has run out of ideas, they aren’t kidding. The musical Rock of Ages is being turned into a movie that’s being released this summer. Showing that Hollywood won’t try letting a good idea stand up for itself, they’ve cast Tom Cruise as an aging rock star. As part of the movie being a musical, there’s singing involved. Unfortunately, Tom Cruise does his own singing as evidence by this week’s Worst of Music winner. Continue reading

Worst of Music: Tyga – Rack City

As seems to be the case fairly often in the feature, I hadn’t heard of Tyga until selecting this week’s Worst of Music winner. But his ascension into the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 got my attention. Unfortunately for me, I listened to his song and it wasn’t more than five seconds before it was the week’s top contender and fifteen seconds before it cemented itself as an early front-runner for 2012’s worst of music with his song Rack City. Continue reading

Worst of Music: David Guetta – Little Bad Girl

We’re a day late and a dollar short but it’s now time for this week’s Worst of Music. Surprisingly, I haven’t given a WoM to this week’s winner on the blog before but I know he’s won the WoM on the podcast. It has been well established that I hate what people currently refer to as dance music and autotune. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that this week’s WoM is a dance song by David Guetta called Little Bad Girl. Continue reading
