The Monaco Grand Prix is absolutely unparalleled in motorsport for glamour and pageantry. Unfortunately, Monaco is almost unparalleled in terms of its ability to turn Formula One into a parade. If it wasn’t for a pair of safety cars and a red flag, this year’s edition of the race would have also been a parade. This year, it was Nico Rosberg who picked up the win in this season’s most prestigious race but is certainly wasn’t without a tonne of controversy for his Mercedes team.

Formula One: 2013 2nd Barcelona Test Recap
This past weekend was the final pre-season test ahead of the 2013 Formula One World Championship. Once again, the teams returned to the Circuit de Catalunya for one final tune-up before the season-opening Australian Grand Prix which was only two weeks after the conclusion of the test.
So who would enter the new season with the momentum from a strong showing in the final test?

After five different winners from the first five races of the 2012 Formula One World Championship, it was only fitting that the season started with a six different winner to start the season. This time, it was Mark Webber who picked up his first win of the season while Red Bull took their second checkered flag of the season. For Webber, it was also his second win at the Monaco Grand Prix. F1 Chinese GP: A First Time For Everything
Having put in 110 starts so far in his F1 career, it seemed as though that Nico Rosberg’s claim to fame would be being the son of 1982 World Drivers’ Champion Keke Rosberg and being high on the list of most starts without a win. In race weekend #111, Nico managed to not only secure his first pole position in dominant fashion but scored an emphatic victory for his first Formula One Grand Prix win. Continue reading
F1 Malaysian GP: Slip and Slide
A race that would have been very straight forward for the McLaren if it stayed dry became an instant classic thanks to the changing conditions of the Sepang Circuit. In the end, it wasn’t the Mercedes-powered cars that led the way but the Ferraris that were in front at the end of the race. The first driver across the line was Fernando Alonso but he wasn’t the star of the race. The real hero of the day was Sergio Perez who hounded Alonso home to finish in second. Continue reading
Formula One: 2012 Jerez Test Recap
It seems like only yesterday that the 2011 Formula One World Championship ended at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Really, it almost was yesterday as we’re less than two-and-a-half months removed from the last race of 2011. However, the rules changes banning exhaust-blown diffusers and lowering nose heights has drastically changed the look of F1 to the point where you feel as though you’re years rather than months removed from last season.

Formula One: 2011 Barcelona Test 2 Recap
With the Bahrain Grand Prix cancelled because of political unrest, pre-season testing was extended for Formula One. All 12 teams were in attendance for the final test which was once again held at the Circuit de Catalunya, host to the Spanish Grand Prix. Not surprisingly, Red Bull and Ferrari were the fastest looking cars once again. However, a few more teams laid down some times to show that they wouldn’t be pushovers either. Continue reading
F1 Spanish GP: Red Bull Grabs By The Horns
McLaren led the first free practice and that was the last time that anyone was close to Red Bull Racing all weekend. Red Bull led the way in the last two practices, qualifying and walked away with near maximum points. Mark Webber led from the start lights to the checkered flag while Sebastian Vettel overcame more reliability issues to finish third. Meanwhile, teams used their three-week break to make the first major updates to their cars and Mercedes was the most radical of the constructors with their changes. Continue reading
