Man Lab Showdown: Hannah Davis vs. Nina Agdal

With Sports Illustrated’s annual Swimsuit Issue having just been released, I thought that now was a good time for a themed edition of the Man Lab Showdown. As I’ve mentioned before on the blog, I didn’t peg Hannah Davis near the top of the list of favourites for the cover so my original plans for this Showdown didn’t come to fruition. That being said, I’m borrowing the idea from that for this edition and I’ll use another version of that idea for the next edition.

So for today’s Man Lab Showdown, it’s a battle of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girls. In one corner is the current SI Swimsuit Issue cover star and American sweetheart, Hannah Davis. In the other corner, the 2014 Swimsuit Issue cover model and Danish superstar, Nina Agdal.

More pictures and the poll after the jump.

Wednesday Link-Off: Lies, Damned Lies and Isn’t There Anything Else to Talk About?

I know I’ve mentioned how some weeks are easier to find weeks than others. Sometimes, though, it’s nice to have links about new stories. As much as I’m sure Brian Williams interests most of you, there has to be other things in the world that are worth writing about. I swear the media finds one bit of clickbait to latch onto and it doesn’t let go.

Anyway, it’s time for the links. Since she’s on the cover of the SI Swimsuit Issue, here’s Hannah Davis.

Quiz time: Would you rather spend $1 billion on the Iraq War or on infrastructure? Independent Senator Bernie Sanders is trying to push through an infrastructure bill that would almost equal spending on the Iraq War. (The Hill)

Brian Williams is being whipped from pillar to post after it came out that he lied about being shot down in Iraq. The story’s traction might come more from the public spectacle than the principle of the matter. (Bloomberg)

The spectacle doesn’t change the fact that NBC news is in complete disarray at the moment. (The Daily Beast)

Sunday Link-Off: Plenty to Eat at Home

hannah-davis-aerie13-02The week is over. The PlayStation 4 is out and I haven’t been left behind because I don’t own it. Similarly, I won’t be left behind because I’m not getting an Xbox One. Newsflash: Neither will you for the next six months while we wait for a  sufficient game library to roll out.

Apart from the console launch, this week brought us even more Rob Ford news. And here you were thinking that the fun was over. So let’s not delay any longer and get to the links. Here’s Hannah Davis.

Just when you thought that it was over in Toronto, the Rob Ford story got a lot more interesting over the last few days thanks to some new allegations from court documents. (Toronto Sun)

In addressing those allegations, Mayor Ford said some things that we wish he hadn’t. (Deadspin)
