We’ve reached the penultimate round of the 2012 Formula One World Championship and the championship battle has another twist in store. Formula One is returning to America on the brand new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Sebastian Vettel combined luck and speed to stay on top of the World Drivers’ Championship but Fernando Alonso’s race pace showed he shouldn’t be counted out yet. Is Ronald Reagan Actually a Hero of The Tea Party?
If you talk to Republicans, one of their greatest heroes is actor-turned-politician Ronald Reagan. The 40th President of the United States is an icon for Conservatives. However, is it possible that Reagan’s policies of the 1980s would be politically left of those who claim him as a sort of demigod, the Tea Party? Could it be that the Tea Party is so out of touch with the policies that led to American prosperity under Reagan that he couldn’t win the Republican Presidential nomination if he ran in 2012? Fifty Years of James Bond: The Movie
An intrepid James Bond fan has put together a pretty cool mash-up/compilation of the last 50 years of Eon Productions’ James Bond movies. He’s created a two-hour long video with five-minute long segments from each movie put together in sequence of when the movie was released.
The video’s description says:
Approximately five minutes from each of the 22 Eon produced James Bond films have been cut together, in order and in sequence, beginning with the first five minutes of DR. NO (1962) followed by minutes 5-10 of FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE (1963), minutes 10-15 of GOLDFINGER (1964), minutes 15-20 of THUNDERBALL (1965), continuing on through each of the remaining 18 Bond features (accounting for variables in each title’s running time) culminating with the final five minutes of 2008’s QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
Formula One: 2012 Abu Dhabi Young Drivers’ Test Recap
The final of this season’s three Young Drivers tests was held at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi last week. As you may recall, Young Drivers tests were held earlier in the year at Silverstone and Magny Cours. The remaining six teams to not put their prospective future drivers through their paces stayed in Abu Dhabi after the Grand Prix to hold the final in-season test of 2012. Continue reading

One theory inside the Republican Party for why they lost was that their new voter tracking system was an unmitigated failure. They were supposed to use a mobile website to track who voted and who they needed to get to the polls. The GOP were so prepared that the system was broken before the first vote was cast. WRC 3 FIA World Rally Championship Review (or Dirt Road Anthem)
Short of jumping out of a balloon from some 23 miles above the ground, being a professional rally driver is one of the craziest and most dangerous things that you can do for a living. They drive through forests on narrow dirt or snow-covered roads only feet from sideswiping a tree or sliding off a cliff. It is the ultimate demonstration of driving and car control.
This year, developers Milestone and publishers Black Bean Games are back with their third installment of their WRC series. I thought last year’s game had some promising gameplay but needed some work to bring graphics and sound up to the standard set by its competitors.
