How To Survive The Zombie Apocalypse (Infographic)

If there’s one thing that I have as a pet cause, it’s preparation for the inevitable zombie apocalypse. This isn’t my obsession with a pop culture fad. After all, I don’t think that we have much to fear from sparkling vampires. But our continuous efforts to live longer will backfire in a catastrophic way. That’s why today’s infographic is so important. It’s all about how to survive the zombie apocalypse. Continue reading

Lowdown Monthly – June 2011

It’s time to once again take a look back at the past month here on the blog with Lowdown Monthly. It’s a recap of our favourite and most popular posts from June in one handy spot. If we did a Best of The Lowdown Blog, this would be it. Continue reading

The Best of Barrett-Jackson Orange County 2011

This week is the world-famous Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Orange County, California. The Barrett-Jackson Orange County auction is the most recent addition to the Barrett-Jackson auction circuit. While there aren’t as many cars (or as high prices) as the original Scottsdale auction, that doesn’t mean it isn’t a proper man’s weekend where guys go to drool over what basically is automotive erotica. So to celebrate California’s biggest collector car show where the cars and not the manufacturers are the stars, here are ten of my favourite cars from this weekend’s auction. Continue reading

Epic Meal Time – Masta Pasta

It’s been three months since we’ve seen an episode of Epic Meal Time so epic that we felt compelled to post it. This week’s episode of EMT is Italian food just the way my grandmother used to make it. There’s way too much there and she kept piling food onto our empty plates while we tried to get her to stop. But unlike the EMT crew, she didn’t use bacon, Jack Daniels, Chef Boyardee and more for an absolutely epic Italian pasta feast. Continue reading

The Best of Where’s Randy Savage

I thought the best way to pay tribute to pro wrestling legend Macho Man Randy Savage was to combine it with our best of the interweb series. One of my favourite Tumblr blogs to follow is Where’s Randy Savage. This Tumblr features the Macho Man photoshopped into some great photos from movies, history and more. They’re all great but here are the twenty best Where’s Randy Savage images. Continue reading

2011 Name of the Year Bracketology

I’ve never been much of a bracketologist (as anyone that’s ever taken my money in a March Madness pool will confirm) but I feel compelled to give it a go for this. Somebody has put together a Name of the Year bracket and it’s sweeping the internet. But with all the talk about it, I haven’t actually seen anyone go through the bracket matchup by matchup to predict who will take home the top name of 2011. After all, if people can go this crazy over 68 college basketball teams, why not over 64 crazy names? Continue reading
