There is some competition at the box office this weekend. While Apple fans might want to see Ashton Kutcher portray Steve Jobs in… Jobs, the rest of us can go check out the highly anticipated sequel Kick Ass 2. You can catch fellow Canadian Lindy Booth in the film as Night Bitch.

This weekend marks the release of the comedy We Are the Millers and the sci-fi actioner Elysium. Good time to marathon some movies! Anyway, let’s start off the ELO with Lyndsy Fonseca this week. Apparently it’s neck and neck at the box office this weekend with either big names or big robots drawing people into theatres. Seriously though, why would you pass up an opportunity to watch Pacific Rim where giant robots duke it with giant alien monsters to watch Adam Sandler in his critically panned Grown Ups 2? It’s a slow week in entertainment as both North American countries celebrate their birthdays. Gotta love those long weekends or extra days off. In theatres this week are The Lone Ranger starring Johnny Depp while Armie Hammer acts as his sidekick. Oh wait… it should be the other way around right? On the hand there is Despicable Me 2 if you’re up for more random silliness from those cute little minions. I’ll just kick off this week’s ELO with Jordana Brewster’s latest GQ spread. Now I feel like watching those Fast and Furious films again.

It’s battle of the buddy action movies this weekend. On one end, there’s Channing Tatum teaming up with Jamie Foxx for White House Down. On the other it’s Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy in The Heat. Whatever you fancy, it will be one action packed screening at the cinemas!
