The Largest Factories in the World (Infographic)

If you want to make something big or a big number of something, you’re going to need a big factory to do so. Not all factories are created equally, though. Even some of the world’s biggest manufacturers and manufacturers of some massive goods have factories that pale in comparison to the size of the world’s biggest factories. So who owns the biggest factories in the world and what do they make? This infographic holds the answers.

The Fastest Police Cars in the World (Infographic)

Today, we look at some of the world’s fastest police cars. While you likely won’t see one of these in your neighbourhood, you very well might have seen one of these on an episode of Top Gear.

Wednesday Link-Off: One More Week

In what can only be considered the best news we’ll have until this time next week, there is only one more week until the votes are counted and the US might have a new leader. Of course, there might be a few legal challenges from either side depending on the outcome. And for all Trump talks about World War III if Hilary wins, there’s the real possibility of Civil War II if she wins. At least the US and Russia will get along if Trump wins.

While FBI Director Comey was willing to disclose an investigation into Hilary Clinton’s emails via Anthony Weiner’s sexting, he’s not as quick to disclose the FBI’s investigation into the Republican candidate. For example, the FBI is investigating Trump’s former campaign manager. (NBC News)

Meanwhile, the FBI was made aware that Putin and the Kremlin were cultivating Trump and he seems to be playing into their hands. (Mother Jones)

The Times is digging into Donald Trumps taxes again and found how he was able to not pay taxes and loans from his casinos in the 1990. It turns out that it may not have been in the most kosher manner possible. (New York Times)

F1 Mexican Grand Prix: Time Won’t Give Me Time

The 2016 Mexican Grand Prix will be better remembered for what happened in the Stewards’ office and over the radio than it will be for what happened on-track. Lewis Hamilton stormed away with a boring victory having escaped a penalty on Lap 1. All the real fun happened behind two Mercedes as a late battle between Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo stole all the headlines.

The Future of Electric Cars (Infographic)

Because I live in a small town, imagine my surprise when I saw a new Tesla driving down the street towards me. I was shocked to see the plug-in hybrid Chevy Volt in my city but an all-electric Tesla was something else. I saw one at the Toronto International Auto Show this winter and they’re certainly good-looking cars with some pretty advanced tech under the hood and at your fingertips. It’s easy to see why they’re so popular and so expensive.

But Tesla won’t be the only player in the consumer electric car market for long nor will they be charging premium prices forever. To find out more, we have this handy infographic about the future of the electric car for your perusal.

Sunday Link-Off: Nearing the End

We’re just over a week away from Election Day in the US and hopefully we’ll be done with it by then. Of course, with the Trump campaign openly talking about voter suppression and with Trump and supporters claiming the election is rigged, will anyone be happy enough to let the election end quietly next week?

What does it say about a campaign when they’re talking about “voter suppression operations?” That’s the plan inside Team Trump. (Bloomberg)

Donald Trump claims to be charitable but David Fahrenthold’s latest look at the Trump Foundation just backs up all the other assertions that Trump is stingy with his money (he’d prefer the term “efficient” so watch for that) and has used the Trump Foundation as his personal funds. (Washington Post)

It not just charity that Donald isn’t giving to. He pledged $100 million of his own money to his presidential campaign. If he came through on his claim that he gave $10 million more to his campaign, he’s still be something like $34 million short of that pledge. (Talking Points Memo)

Batman – Episode 2 Review: My Parents Have Framerate Problems

batman-episode-two-headerTelltale is very hit and miss with its many, may different titles. When the company is focused on putting all of its resources behind a particular game, it gets in the conversation for year-end awards. When they half-ass it, people worry that Telltale was nothing more than a flash in the pan and that it’s poor efforts of the past are more indicative of the company’s quality than its critical highs.

The Batman series finds an odd middle ground for Telltale. The story is largely compelling, even if the characters aren’t, but the actual execution of the game is so poor that you wonder if Telltale was taking notes on PC ports from Rocksteady’s Arkham Knight.

Video Game Voice Actors Go On Strike

sag-aftra-logoJust over twelve months ago, we had a story about unionized video game voice actors under the Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) discussing strike action against video game publishers over what they claimed was inadequate compensation and unsafe working conditions. Now, SAG-AFTRA has announced that they are on strike against nearly a dozen game developers and publishers which might slow production on upcoming games.

Wednesday Link-Off: Basket Full Of

Two more weeks! There are only two more weeks before we should all be done with this edition of the US election and can move on with our lives. At least, we hope that’s the case but with Donald Trump claiming to only accept the results if he wins, this election might drag on through the courts until the next election. And, until then, we’ll have a daily assortment of scandals to peruse and wonder how American politics got to this point.

An undercover investigation showed a Trump-supporting super PAC willing to bring a foreign donation despite that being illegal in US elections. (Daily Telegraph)

Remember Silvio Berlusconi’s infamous bunga-bunga parties? The term has regained traction with reports that a similar party or parties happened with Donald Trump and associates which involved cocaine, underage models and rich, old men. (The Daily Beast)

And here’s testimony from the rape lawsuit that has been filed against Trump and Jeffery Epstein. Some may find the testimony disturbing. (The Proud Liberal)

F1 United States Grand Prix: What Needs to be Done

The plan for Lewis Hamilton is quite simple. All he can do at this point is win every race from here to the end of the season and hope for some luck to go his way. For Nico Rosberg, the counterattack is also quite simple. Finish first or second from now through Abu Dhabi and he wins his first World Drivers’ Championship. Both men did what they needed to in Austin, Texas, at the US GP but that means that it’s still advantage Rosberg.
