I don’t know if you’ve noticed but we’re quite big fans of video games here at The Lowdown. While we can argue all day as to what was the best era of gaming, we can objectively examine if gaming is more expensive now than it was when many of us started. After all, the Xbox One was effectively killed on arrival with a $500 price tag but is that price unprecedented in gaming? We have a handy infographic to answer that question.

Brexit and the Car Industry (Infographic)
I haven’t been paying that much attention the EU Membership Referendum over in Britain. I thought this would be similar to the Scottish independence referendum in that it was a pretty cut and dry case that the economic benefits of free access to the European economy would make “remain” the overwhelming choice. Polling before today’s vote suggest that it’s too close to call and will come down to undecided voters.
Since we occasionally talk about cars, let’s take a look at what the motor industry thinks about the potential exit from EU in this handy infographic.
The Fastest Cars in Pop Culture (Infographic)
I don’t know if you noticed but we’re pretty fond of cars around here at The Lowdown. We’re fans of the former Top Gear and soon to be The Grand Tour as you can probably tell by the blatant inspiration drawn in our podcast and blog. So when we found this infographic on Reddit, it was a matter of when, not if, it was going up. Just what are the fastest that we’ve seen famous cars go in pop culture? Someone sought to answer that in this infographic.
Leicester City’s Winning Season in Numbers (Infographic)
They won the league! In one of the all-time great stories in sports, minnows Leicester City football club went from generally unknown and on the verge of relegation to Premier League champions in the span of one season. The Foxes took a team on a budget and cashed in with big paydays for winning the League and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. Not to mention they’ll probably make a couple of extra dollars from merchandise and ticket sales.
So just how crazy was Leicester City’s championship season? We have a handy infographic to explain how they stack up to the competition.
The Evolution Of F1 Video Games (Infographic)
I’m not sure if we’ll have much in the way of F1 race recap coverage this weekend but we’ll definitely have the Power Rankings before the weekend starts and the news roundup following the race. In the meantime, we have a little F1 infographic for your perusal. The beta test squad that traveled to Codemasters HQ think that F1 2016 will take the series to new heights. Just how far have F1 games come in over 30 years? Well, that’s what our infographic is about.
Superheroines vs Supervillainesses: The Women of the DC Universe (Infographic)
So Batman v Superman: Donna Justice isn’t doing as well as Warner Bros hoped that it would do. I hate to say that the whole world told them so but they saw who the director was and told them so.
Now, Batman v Superman puts the names of the two male protagonists front and centre. The Justice League and Suicide Squad are both mostly made up of men. However, beyond just Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn, DC actually features a whole host of strong female characters in their universe. To learn a little more about them, here’s a handy infographic that’s a primer to the women of the DC Universe.
The 24 Most Expensive Watches in the World (Infographic)
I’ve been told that we occasionally talk about watches here on The Lowdown Blog. I did some digging and in fact we have. Last year, we took a look at James Bond’s collection of high-tech spy watches. This time, we’re looking at properly expensive watches. Did you know that you can spend up to $11 million on one time piece? And I thought Jord pricing their top end watches at $400 was the height of the watch market.
Wayne Manor vs Fortress of Solitude (Infographic)
It’s been a while since we’ve had a fantasy real estate infographic but we’ve been sent another infographic to celebrate the release of Batman v Superman: Prequel of Justice. Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve looked at the Batmobile and the cost of being Batman v. Superman. Today, we look at the battle of headquarters. What would cost you more to buy (and heat): Wayne Manor or the Fortress of Solitude?
Chris Evans vs. Jeremy Clarkson: The Infographic
We’re still some months before we see an episode of new old Top Gear and the untitled Clarkson, Hammond and May project but there is still scads of excitement over them. Well, at least, there’s excitement over Amazon throwing millions of dollars at Clarkson, Hammond and May. Given the massive cast at Top Gear led by Chris Evans, Matt LeBlanc, a lot of fans are worried about Top Gear reverting to a format that saw it cancelled before Clarkson and Andy Wilman rescued it in the format watched by over 350 million people worldwide. That’s not to say that Top Gear is as good as dead in Evans’s hands.
Our friends at Car Leasing Made Simple made a handy little infographic comparing the incoming host of Top Gear to its outgoing leader. Spoilers: They both have pretty good credentials.
The Cost of Being Batman v. Superman (Infographic)
Yesterday, we took a look at the history of the Batmobile. If you were Bruce Wayne, you would know that buying or developing the latest in gadgetry to become the great detective of Gotham isn’t cheap. In fact, it’s impossibly expensive to be Batman. However, nobody ever asks how much it costs to be Superman. Well, that’s probably because Superman doesn’t need fancy gadgets but just himself to dispense justice. So thanks to this handy infographic, let’s take a look at how much it costs to be both Batman and Superman.
