Entertainment Link-Off: United We Stand, Divided We Fall

emily van campWhile the folks over in North America will have to wait a bit longer, there are certain areas overseas that can catch Captain America: Civil War in cinemas already this weekend (and that includes Australia)! The flick is garnering good reviews and is on track to take the box office by storm. I managed to catch the screening earlier and let’s just say it lives up to the hype. Ok, time to kick off the ELO and there’s no better way than to start with Agent 13 from the movie! Emily Vancamp is certainly looking very good in the latest photoshoot here.

After the jump, The Punisher is coming to a small screen near you, we got a new Lara Croft, Keanu is playing Keanu in Keanu, The Maze Runner 3 is put on hold indefinitely and there are a few Game of Thrones tidbits to check out.

Given how well-received The Punisher was on the latest season of Daredevil, it wouldn’t be a surprise for Netflix to order a series on top of the current crop of Marvel shows. (Entertainment Weekly)

While I personally would see someone like Daisy Ridley being very well suited for the role of Lara Croft, I certainly don’t mind the final casting choice of Alicia Vikander at all! (THR)

Just like how Danny McBride was a surprising casting choice for Alien: Covenant, it looks like FOX is pulling the same trick for Wolverine 3! Stephen Merchant is joining the comic book film sequel in a yet to be disclosed role. (Deadline)

Still plenty of bad blood on the set of Live! as Kelly Ripa continues to make small digs at departing cohost Michael Strahan. (NY Daily News)

Production has wrapped for the online series Single By 30. I’m definitely looking forward to this one on Youtube Red! The romantic comedy series looked promising with its test pilot on Wong Fu’s channel last year. (Tube Filter)

There was a time when TV shows had opening theme songs with title credits. Then that trend died and was scrapped entirely for a while. Now it seems like elaborate openings sequences are back and Game of Thrones is leading the way. (NY Times)

Could Jon Snow’s blood splatter be a hint of what’s to come? (Uproxx)

It’s no surprise that Game of Thrones premiered to pretty big numbers for its season 6 premiere right? (THR)

James Corden pulls off a nice parody of Beyonce’s Lemonade. Have a look at LemonJames.

While the trailer looks fine, but I’m not sure what to make of Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s voice in the film Snowden.
