It’s been a busy week and weekend, so let’s keep the latest ELO short and sweet. At the box office this weekend, you can catch another retelling of the story of Noah. Apparently it’s a hit among critics and no so much among the church-goers. Anyway, Emma Watson is in the flick, so let’s start off with her.
After the jump, Community might be getting six seasons and a movie, catch a bloody deleted scene from The Raid 2, an infographic describing how Hollywood has destroyed America, it would cost tax payers a lot to maintain a superhero, a few new movie trailers to see and finally Dana Williams & Leighton Meester tackles a Fleetwood Mac track.
Sure it might have popped up initially as Abed’s pipe dream but it’s certainly starting to look like the goal of ‘six seasons and a movie’ is going to happen. In addition to that, a certain director who made a certain paintball episode might be able to helm the feature film. (Collider)
We always hear about Agent Coulson discussing about his partner The Cellist. Now they have finally cast her and to no one’s surprise, she is a much loved Joss Whedon alum. (TV Guide)
Catch the deleted gang war scene for The Raid 2. It is bloody good violence. If this still managed to get cut out of the final feature (which runs 150 minutes long by the way), I can’t imagine what actually made the final product! (Yahoo Indonesia)
If you got some time to spare, Ah-nold has some great stories to share and also talks about the movie Twins and how he managed to make more moolah out of that than the other films he’s done so far. Also, there’s talk of the upcoming Terminator flick around the 46 minute mark and he explains how a Terminator ages. (Nerdist)
It’s official, Universal has hired on 4 actors/body doubles to fill in the remaining scenes for the late Paul Walker with a bit of CGI help. (NY Daily News)
I always love a good infographic and here is a nifty one showing how Hollywood has destroyed America. (Deadspin)
The latest Transformers: Age of Extinction poster promises large scale action. (Slashfilm)
Well this really carries the vibe from Once. Watch Mark Ruffalo and Keira Knightley make beautiful music in Begin Again. (Today)
The Wachowski’s have pulled up a pretty good original sci-fi flick in the past, though their last few flicks have failed to draw up the same magic. That being said, the trailer for Jupiter Ascending looks pretty darn impressive.
Ever wonder how much would it cost taxpayers to maintain a superhero in their country? Well according to this video, it will certainly cost quite a bit to maintain Captain America if he actually existed. The good news is that it would only cost a fraction of the budget for a Captain America movie!
The new X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer is a bit more action heavy for your viewing pleasure.
The Rock sure fights a lot of big animals in Hercules…
The full trailer for The Purge: Anarchy is up and it is looking very different from the first movie (in a good way).
I gotta say, I loved Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. That was one heck of a funny film. Recently the stars of the flick Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine announced that a sequel is now in development!
Music recommendation of the week. Robynn and Kendy’s Sail Away.
Joss Whedon has a message for the people of Seoul from the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
And finally, listen to a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams by Dana Williams and Leighton Meester.
