I’m not sure that EA is the evil empire anymore. Ubisoft has done a pretty good job over the last year or so of taking that role for themselves. So EA came into E3 with a pretty feel-good line-up of games to show and they did a pretty good job of making sure the hype train left the station. New announcements were few and far between but there was a teaser reveal for the new Mass Effect. That’s gotta count for something.

E3 2015: Bethesda Trailer Roundup
With all the pre-amble prior to E3 finally coming to a close this morning, it’s time to start going through some of the new trailers and games that were unveiled at E3.
We’ll start with the first press conference of the week which means that we start with Bethesda. Their rookie effort at E3 focused heavily on their two biggest upcoming releases. Multiple gameplay and features videos of Fallout 4 and Doom made up the majority of the conference. There were a few reveals too including a new Dishonored and spin-offs of Fallout and The Elder Scrolls.
Game Trailers Roundup for April 28, 2015
Trailers… Trailers, everywhere. Today, we have nine trailers for you to check out. There are some launch trailers for Killing Floor 2 and Project CARS among other games. Call of Duty had an announcement trailer for the next game that dropped yesterday. And there was a features trailer for Rory McIlroy PGA Tour? I’ll keep waiting for an Elin Nordegren game.
Game Trailers Roundup: January 20, 2015
There might not be much in the way of big releases this week but that doesn’t mean that we have a shortage of trailers for you to look at this week. Between triple-As, indies, mobile, MMOs and MOBAs, this week’s roundup has ten trailers for you to watch. And who said that this was a quiet time of year for games. Okay, news and actual games, yes. Trailers? Definitely looks like a busy time.
Game Trailers Roundup: December 9, 2014
Apparently Friday’s The Game Awards was actually not terrible. After how many years of laughable VGAs and last year’s VGX (which was only redeemable by Joel McHale undermining the whole thing), it took Keighley putting his own money on the line to get something closer to a proper awards show.
Of course, this can’t be a Keighley produced award show with a whole pile of trailers and gameplay exclusive videos. While I might run the gameplay exclusives later, I do have a whole pile of trailers today. By my count, there are 13 trailers for just released, announced or upcoming games for you to watch. Chances are you will find something to watch in here.
Game Trailers Roundup for October 21, 2014
Well, I’m an idiot. I completely forgot to do up a post for today. So here’s a little weekly post we run over at et geekera. It’s a look at the best video game trailers from the last seven days in the Game Trailers Roundup. In total, there are twelve trailers for you to watch today.
As we near or have reached their releases, we have launch trailers for F1 2014, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. There are also trailers for Football Manager 2015, LittleBigPlanet 3, Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. And we close with a whole host of Ubisoft trailers for Far Cry 4, both Assassin’s Creed games and The Crew (whenever that comes out).
VGX 2013 News and Trailer Roundup
For all of Geoff Keighley’s pre-event hype, it sure sounds like the whole awards aspect of VGX didn’t change. According to the /r/Games live thread, seven awards were handed out during the show of VGX’s 23 total awards. At least it sounds like celebrities weren’t paraded out to promote their own stuff though it did sound like host Joel McHale was very much annoyed that he was forced to spend the whole show reading from a teleprompter verbatim.
Apart from the handful of awards and McHale doing nothing to hide the fact that he didn’t have anything to do with the jokes during the show, there was a bunch of news and announcements from the show. It’s almost like a mini convention based on the importance that publishers put on the show for making news with big announcements. So here’s a roundup of the news and trailers from VGX.

2012 Spike Video Game Awards Trailer Roundup
While I and many other bloggers take the Spike TV Video Game Awards very seriously, they are still a big deal to video game fans. The thing is that we’re not particularly concerned about who gets the awards. We’re more interested in the plethora of game announcements and trailers that are the big draw for the show.
Today, we have all the VGA trailers and brief analysis of each. Continue reading
