Entertainment Link-Off: Blades of Glory

JuJu-Chan-Crouching-Tiger-PremiereIt’s time for the weekly links to a random selection of links related to movies, TV and whatnot! In cinemas this weekend, you got the CGI heavy Gods of Egypt (which looks awful) and the all-star action thriller Triple 9 (which is almost fresh on RT). However if you prefer to stay at home, there’s the release of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny on Netflix. Reviews have not been too kind and even I’m hesitant on checking it out until I saw Ju Ju Chan on the red carpet for the show’s premiere.

After the jump, what it’s like not to be a white man in Hollywood, stunt performers should get Oscar nods, Captain America: Civil War might not have an ending that will satisfy everyone, and there will be no more Bones to pick with FOX.

Bittersweet news Pacific Rim fans! The sequel has found a new director and it’s Steven S. DeKnight! He is the man behind the Daredevil season 1 series, so it’s in safe hands. That does mean Guillermo del Toro is not at the helm for his passion project. (Polygon)

If you’re hoping for a full on Deadpool/X-Men crossover, you just might have to wait a little longer. (The Playlist)

LOL! Imagine the horse from The Revenant was used as a sleeping bag for kids. (Funny or Die)

The new trailer for season 2 of Daredevil features a lot more of Elektra! Reviews have been good so far for the new season, so it should be something to look forward to!

I still find it weird that they’re all suddenly conversing in English, but Netflix’s sequel to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon looks like it could be a lot of fun with the nicely choreographed martial arts scenes. I don’t know what to say about the dialogue though…

Honest Trailers tackles the best picture nominees for the 2016 Oscars. Too bad they didn’t have enough time to proper skewer each flick!
