It’s Saturday, so that means it’s time for another hit of the Entertainment Link-Off. It’s the dog days of summer at the movies and it doesn’t look like new releases would be making that big of a splash at the box office this weekend. Kicking off this entry is Rachel Nichols from her latest shoot with Maxim. Sadly despite her good looks, it hardly drew anyone to see the remake of Conan the Barbarian.
After the jump, FOX made a few mistakes, horrible movie alternate endings, Joseph Gordon-Levitt rocks out to Nirvana, a neat short based on the popular video game Portal and a new music video from singer/songwriter Marie Digby.
So TV comedies aren’t as big as it was back in the day, at least we can still get some good chuckles from shows like Community, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory or Modern Family. Here’s a look back at the 25 best comedy shows of all time. Let’s just be thankful that certain shows like Outsourced didn’t make the cut. (IGN)
Many flicks out there start off good but crash and burn just as they’re about to end. For these five classic films, let’s be happy that they ended the way they did because the alternate takes would have been disastrous. (Cracked)

Sometimes a good budget does not guarantee that there will be good CGI involved. In fact… sometimes they can just look utterly horrible. (Film School Rejects)

Good job FOX. By withholding your shows, you’ve just promoted more online piracy. (Slashfilm)
Gotta love it when Pixar decides to be a little cheeky. Here are the images from the D23 2011 event. Be on the lookout for the picture that involves an upcoming dinosaur film from Pixar. (Pixar Times)

People may have ignored Scott Pilgrim vs. the World during its theatrical run, but at least it developed a good enough cult status to give it a monthly run at the New Beverley in LA! (Movieline)
If you’re looking for more reasons why Joseph Gordon-Levitt is so badass, perhaps you should just watch him perform Nirvana’s Lithium.
While I mentioned Joseph Gordon-Levitt, here’s a red band clip for his upcoming film 50/50.
A lot of people already checked this out earlier in the week, but to those that still haven’t, this is really worth a look. Fans of the game Portal get an idea of what a live action adaptation of the game could look like from this awesome short directed by Dan Trachtenberg.
Here’s a short that could benefit the ladies out there for the makeup tips. I was rather captured by the cinematography and the music from the video. Anyway, have a look if you’re up for a little love story.
And lastly, music recommendation of the week. It’s been a little while since Marie Digby released a music video. Finally here’s a MV for her new track Your Love, which was released earlier in the week. Have a listen now!
