I don’t understand why musicians have to release half of their latest albums as singles especially if nobody really cares after the second or third one. And yet, here we are talking about the fifth single from the latest Britney Spears comeback album. With Rihanna’s rise to fame based on sex appeal, Britney is going back to that well with the entendre -laden song Gasoline.

Well, the best thing that could be said about this song is that it’s done inside of three minutes… This song is your typical dance club track masquerading as a real song that has dominated the music scene for the better part of the last year. The lyrics really show absolutely no effort as I think more than half the lines are “you set me on fire.” And gasoline is the worst euphemism for sex ever. Listen to the song and you’ll get it.

So congrats, Britney. You’ve won the prestigious Worst of Music award for this week.
