Entertainment Link-Off: Blockbuster Weekend

It’s clash of the big tentpole films this weekend as Sex and the City 2 faces off against the previous champ Shrek Forever After and Disney’s latest Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Kicking off this Entertainment Link-Off is Gemma Arterton who plays Tamina in Prince of Persia. The video game adaptation is getting mixed reviews but it’s apparently one of the better ones out there.

After the jump Les Grossman returns, learn you ABC’s with Wolverine and Lost finale aftermath.

Once in a while there is a film that gets released that deserves a whole series of bashing. Twilight often comes to mind, but this weekend this title belongs to Sex and the City 2. (Slashfilm) I can’t believe this movie is 2.5 hours long. I really feel sorry for the dudes that had to endure this when they’re accompanying their girlfriends to the movies.

At the box office weekend, it seems like a green ogre and the Prince of Persia can’t defeat the four women in their 40s. (Deadline)

It’s the return of Les Grossman! In a recent MTV Movie Awards promo, it was revealed that this man was also responsible for launching Tom Cruises’ career back in 1983! (MTV)

This would be a pretty awesome way to learn your ABC’s – using illustrations of Wolverine! (Sean Gordon Murphy @ DeviantArt)

Based on these set photos, it looks like the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will make it to the big screen. (Slashfilm)

This looks like it’ll be a lot of fun at the theatres. I can’t wait for its release. Check out some new pics and a new preview for The Expendables. (Collider)

I don’t know about you, but I think the $10000 that Joss Whedon offered for the Terminator rights still stands. (Latino Review)

Looking forward to the new Captain America movie? Well Mike Sampson at JoBlo has seen the costume and puts out a full description of it. Sorry no visuals, but it’s good enough for now. (JoBlo)

If only Michael Bay featured this in his Transformers movies, it would have been awesome. (io9)

Still suffering from Lost withdrawal? Fear not fans, Michael Emerson (aka Ben Linus) revealed that there an ‘epilogue’ attached to the DVD release that focuses on his character and Hurley as they act as the island’s protectors. (G4TV)

In the end, Lost was a drama about the human interaction. While the finale was an emotionally satisfying end, there were plenty of questions left unanswered. Lost track of all the mysteries? Don’t worry, here’s a video that compiles all those unanswered questions! (College Humor)

After the amazing Chuck season finale, Alan Sepinwall got on the phone with Chris Fedak to talk about the ups and downs of Chuck season 3. (Hit Fix)

I started tuning into Being Erica last year and I was surprisingly hooked! CBC did recently announce a third season pick up for the show, which is good news since I wanted to know more from that cliffhanger ending. Anyway, the TV Addict digs up 5 things you need to know about the upcoming season. (The TV Addict)

George A. Romero may be past his prime (see Survival of the Dead), but he’s still the man that made some classic zombie flicks. Take a look at his latest interview where he reveals that zombies don’t actually eat brains. (Vanity Fair)

Supernatural fans celebrate! Jim Beaver and Misha Collins are set to return for the show’s 6th season! (Zap2it) I’m still debating whether I want to see this show continue… the season 5 finale was a perfect end until that tacked on scene was forced into it.

Now that May sweeps are done, the final primetime ratings are in! CBS once again tops overall viewership while FOX takes the crown for the 18-49 demo group. Seriously, who can stop the American Idol + Glee juggernaut? (TV by the Numbers)

If only they would put this much effort into children shows because this would have been awesome. The latest effort from Canadian director Patrick Bolvin has gone viral with Iron Baby.

Last year during the Twilight Link-Off, there was an article from The Oatmeal describing why Twilight is so popular among the ladies out there. Now there’s a video version of it!

Just for some laughs, if you missed the Jimmy Kimmel Live special last Sunday, take a look at some Lost alternate endings that didn’t make it to the final cut.
