Happy New Year!!! Welcome to the first edition of the Entertainment Link-Off in 2010. Let’s kick off the new year with Isabel Lucas. She can be seen in the upcoming vampire flick Daybreakers, which is out next week.
After the jump a brief look back into 2009, Ricky Gervais and Elmo reunite and another James Cameron/Avatar related video. I sent Steve the link to the ‘making of the bootleg’ video and he poached it and put it in his Wednesday Link-Off. Bastard.
Normally I can care less about the personal lives of celebrities but this was too good to pass up. Kevin Jonas just got married recently and he reveals that sex wasn’t worth the wait. “After we did it, I was kind of like, that’s it?” he told reporters at a New York press conference. Here’s the kicker. When asked about what his wife would think of the statement he just blurted out, he responded with “That’s what she said.” (Huffington Post) He just indirectly revealed that he’s not much of a performer. Burn!
Gunaxin Media has released a controversial list of the 10 worst muppets. Why controversial? They were silly enough to include Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Pepe the Prawn on the list. That ain’t cool! (Gunaxin Media)
Avatar is still raking in the box office bucks. (Nikki Finke)
I’m sure most of us believe that we are smarter than network TV executives. Actually after reading these 10 blunders of the decade, perhaps we are. (The Hollywood Reporter)
EW takes a look at the shows that we’ve loved and lost in 2009. (Entertainment Weekly)
Oh PVR and the internet, you have made a huge difference in the TV viewing experience over the past decade! *hugs PVR* The TV Addict lists the 5 things that transformed the way we watch TV over the past 10 years. (The TV Addict)
For eye candy purposes, let’s take a look at the Movie Hotties Awards of 2009. (JoBlo)
DirecTV will launch 3D channel in 2010. (Collider) So what does this mean for season 5 of FNL? Nothing, but it would be cool if it was in 3D eh?
Ghostbusters 3 is shooting for a summer 2011 release! (Latino Review)
The second Inception trailer has surfaced onto the internet. After watching the clip, I still have no idea what is going on, but it does look like an amazing film. Summer just can’t come soon enough! (MovieWeb)
For the folks who are anticipating the release of Daybreakers. You might be one of the lucky few that get to attend a free screening of the film before it hits the theatres. Wanna know how? (AICN)
There’s also a bunch of new Daybreakers stills that have hit the net. (JoBlo)
Before I go with some Youtube links, let’s take a look at the 10 best viral videos of 2009. (Entertainment Weekly)
Here’s a film I’m looking forward to in 2010. It’s Tucker and Dale vs. Evil! The movie stars Alan Tudyk (Dollhouse) and Tyler Labine (Reaper) as two hillbillies who have their peaceful trip at the cabin interrupted by some college kids. Basically, it’s the story of the typical hillbilly horror film told from the other side. Turns out, the hillbillys aren’t evil. They are mistaken as psycho killers through a series of misconstrued circumstances. A series of unfortunate events indeed.

LandlineTV has put together a funny video showing what James Cameron would be like if he was an addict… a special effects addict. Language may be NSFW.

Finally, it’s time for Ricky Gervais and Elmo part deux! This one can’t top their first meeting, but it’s still fun to watch. I don’t know about you, a celebrity lullaby courtesy of Ricky Gervais seems pretty cool.
