Entertainment Link-Off: Twilight Link-Off Part Deux

Welcome to another edition of the Entertainment Link-Off. This weekend marks the release of Brothers which stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire, who happen to look awfully alike. Yeah, it doesn’t sound all that appealing. Then they throw in Natalie Portman and suddenly I am interested.

After the jump, a few leftover Twilight related links, Iron Man stuff and Super Mario and Queen unite.

It’s a long read, but it’s a good one. Joss Whedon talks about the demise of Dollhouse, future projects and something about how network TV sucks. (Chicago Tribune)

Glee just hit a ratings high this week! That’s something to celebrate (along with the fact that Joss will be directing an upcoming episode). Anyway, if you’re ever bored, take a look at a collection of Sue Sylvester’s ridiculous quotes. (Entertainment Weekly)

Oh boy. Here I though regular Japanese game shows were crazy enough… then I saw this. (Gizmodo)

FlashForward is on a ratings downward spiral. If the show ever gets canned… you can blame the Australians! (The Hollywood Reporter)

Late night TV gone sorta wrong: George Lopez got his ass kicked by… George Lopez. (TV by the Numbers)

In music news, guess who’s taking the Christmas number 1 in the UK? (Telegraph) Damn Simon Cowell is sucking the fun out this.

Here is a nice collection of 40 unseen moments from your favourite movies! It includes that horrific deleted scene from Terminator 3! (io9)

Did you know that Iron Man was largely improvised?! (Slashfilm)

Speaking of Iron Man, I’m really digging the poster for the new movie. (Olivia Munn)

Need a reason to visit Dubai? This Marvel theme park should do the trick. (Collider)

Anyone interested in Rachel Bilson’s deleted sex scene? (Funny or Die) I think there’s some controversy over this because… she might have used a body double.

Steve conveniently featured Mila Kunis in the Wednesday Link-Off. She’ll be starring alongside Ms Portman in the film Black Swan. There is a rumour that there will be an sex scene featuring the two starlets. Mila is tired of all the hoopla surround this and plays down the hype. (Blackbook) Meanwhile Natalie Portman says it’s ‘extreme’ but not explicit in any way. (MTV) The ladies might be right and all the guys out there are bound for disappointment.

Oh since I did mention Natalie Portman, did you guys check out her appearance on Zach Galifianakis’ show Between the Ferns a few months back? It’s hilarious. (Funny or Die)

Filmmaker Jason Reitman has a new flick out this weekend called Up in the Air starring George Clooney and Anna Kendrick (who was featured in the last ELO). The director sits down with RT to talk about his 5 favourite films and he also comments briefly on how Jennifer’s Body is tainting his career. (Rotten Tomatoes)

This ELO can sort of act like a continuation of the Twilight Link-Off as I do have a handful of random tidbits that involve the vampire series that sucks.

Here are a few suggestions that would make Twilight a lot more appealing. (Moviefone)

The fanart on the right speaks the truth about those Twilight moms out there. (Reddit)

Readers at EW speak out about why Twilight sucks. (Entertainment Weekly) Hurray! It’s a gallery!

Perhaps it’s not a good idea to bring a camera into the movie theatre… especially when there would be plenty of staff surrounding a big buzz movie like New Moon. (Chicago Sun Times)

Could Twilight be promoting domestic violence? (Entertainment Weekly)

Two words summarize what happens in the Twilight series: nothing happens. Not convinced? Allow Jack Douglas to explain. (Slashfilm)

YAY Heroes might be ending! Oh and FOX is developing a series to counter Vampire Diaries by using… werewolves. (Slashfilm)

Steven Seagal is a hit on A&E! (Zap2it)

However, I still think he should make a full-feature version of Cockpuncher.

Get ready for a full assault on your senses. Here’s an amazing mash-up of Super Mario with Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now.
