Entertainment Link-Off: Abracatastic!

gillian jacobsSorry about the delay on last week’s Entertainment Link-Off. Somehow pressing the ‘publish’ button doesn’t necessarily translate to actually publishing the post onto The Lowdown page. Technology is rather puzzling sometimes. Anyway, it’s Saturday, so it’s time for the ELO again. Let’s start this all off with Gillian Jacobs. You can catch her in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone this weekend, but to get your weekly fix, just watch Community on NBC every Friday. Word has it, the latest episode saw quite a dip in the ratings.

After the jump, Veronica Mars is back, other shows are looking to return via viewer funding, new look at Kick Ass 2 and Dora the Explorer live action joke trailer is actually turning into a real online miniseries. 

Enrico Morricone had some choice words for Quentin Tarantino in a recent talk to students at Rome’s LUISS university. Let’s just say the composer is not a fan of Tarantino and that it will be extremely unlikely that they’ll be working together ever again. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Now that the Veronica Mars has reached its Kickstarter goal, Warner Brothers has officially greenlit the project; however, the company is not expecting to provide additional funding for the film. (The Wrap)

The Kickstarter success of Veronica Mars won’t really cause a floodgate of rehashing brilliant-but-cancelled series. At least Joss Whedon isn’t up for it at the moment. (Buzzfeed)

Shailene Woodley has completed shooting her role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I guess Mary Jane won’t be doing all that much in the film, but of course, spoilers beware, she will likely have a more significant role in the future. (Slashfilm)

Bryan Singer shows the cast pictures of who will be featured in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Note the return of Colossus! In addition, there are a few new faces with some mysterious roles. (Coming Soon)

Fans of the BBC series Sherlock rejoice! It will be making a return for season 4! (Radio Times)

Bioshock movie isn’t happening anytime soon. Why did they pull the plug on it? Apparently it was sorta inspired by The Watchmen. (Euro Gamer)
