It’s time for the Entertainment Link-Off! It’s been a few busy weeks, so Steve has taken on the great task to cover the random entertainment news of the week. In theatres this weekend is the actioner Jack Reacher starring Tom Cruise or you can check out the Knocked Up spin off This is 40 starring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann. If none of those suit your fancy, might as well check out The Hobbit again. Anyway, to make up for my absence, here’s a double dose of eye candy for you this week. Let’s kick it off with some Battlestar Galactica babes Tricia Helfer and Katie Sackhoff.
After the jump, check out the teaser for Star Trek: Into Darkness, movie mistakes galore, Samuel L. Jackson and Anne Hathaway have a sad-off, find out why Gandalf never rode on the eagles and a new Christmas tune to check out.

Youtube is a good predictor of box office success. The Dark Knight Rises tops the site as the most viewed movie trailer. Funny enough, the top grossing film The Avengers didn’t even make it into the top 10 list. (Slashfilm)
Well it looks like the apocalyptic comedy This is the End just made it to the computer screens before the world actually ends. (Yahoo)
Damon Lindelof is not returning to write the screenplay for Prometheus 2. Not entirely surprised given his busy schedule, but I’m sure that the fact that he has been the whipping boy of angry fans sure helped with his decision to depart from the franchise. (Collider)
Pitch Perfect was definitely one of the most fun I’ve had in the theatres in a while. Now there are talks of a sequel now that the film has turned out to be a moderate success. Here’s to hoping that the next film can live up to the fun aca-amazing film. (Movie Web)
I know this is being nitpicky, but finding faults in films is actually quite fun. Here’s a look at 2012, a year of movie mistakes. (Slashfilm)
Michael Bay’s little side project between Transformer films Pain and Gain has finally debuted some footage online. Best line in the trailer, “I watched a lot of movies, I know what I’m doing”. (Vimeo)
Both Samuel L. Jackson and Anne Hathaway have supporting roles in the films Django Unchained and Les Miserables respectively. The main thing in common is that both films are rather depressing, so let the two argue which of the film is the saddest of them all. Minor spoilers beware. (Funny or Die)
Hilarious comic on why Gandalf never rides on the giant eagles in The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films. (Dorkly)
Since Christmas is quickly approaching, let’s throw in an original Christmas tune as the music recommendation of the week. Check out Jason Chen’s latest track, Snowflake.
