Finally after three weeks we are closer to knowing what is going in this league. For one we know that kickers suck and will always try to screw our teams and two there are a lot of terrible teams this year. That being said I like some underdogs this week. Anything can happen any given Sunday after all.

Broncos (+6.5) over TITANS
Did you know the Broncos put up over 500 yards on offence last week. Now I know that the Colts defence is particularly porous this year but man that is still big numbers. The reason they lost last week was due to an inability to score in the red zone. I think they manage to that this week on the road enough to keep it close. I think the Titans still take the game due to their superior running game but this one will be closer than people expect.

Ravens (+2.5) over STEELERS
Two good reason to pick the Ravens in an upset. Before the season would anyone have predicted the Steelers to go 4-0 without Big Ben? No, and that’s because it is so difficult to win 4 games without your starting quarterback. This is not Friday Night Lights after all. Secondly regardless of Batch’s great week against Tampa Bay he’s still a fourth string quarterback. He will show that this week against a much better defence in Baltimore. This game means more to Baltimore and Joe Flacco will have an efficient game. It will be close but the Ravens should prevail in the end.

BROWNS (+3) over Bengals
Carson Palmer looks brutal. He has only put up numbers in junk time against New England and just a little against Carolina. The Browns have been playing in some tight games this year including last week in Baltimore. It’s not that I think the Browns are a really great team, I just think the Bengals are that bad. Last year the Bengals also managed to lose to Raiders. They have games that they will let down on and I think this week it’s against Cleveland.

PACKERS (-14) over Lions
Green Bay is playing at home against a back up quarterback. They need to keep blowing out teams to show that they are legit contenders. They win big this week because Detroit doesn’t have the weapons to complete with them. Next!

SAINTS (-13) over Panthers
Ugh. The Panthers have looked horrible this year. They are a team that does not have a close to competent quarterback. I thought that Matt Moore would be a good QB clearly I was wrong. He is obviously horrible and Jimmy Clausen is not much better. They can run the ball well but this is a quarterback league. The Saints should have won last week and they still aren’t firing on all cylinders. The Panthers may be the team that gets them back into the elite circle of teams.

FALCONS (-6.5) over 49ers
How is this only 6.5 points. The Falcons have gone toe to toe with the best in the league and are a very very good team at home. The 49ers are horrible on the road and newsflash firing your offensive co-ordinator during the season isn’t going to fix your offence immediately. It takes time for coaches to get their play calling synced up with players. This one will be a blow out. Bet hard on the Falcons.

RAMS (+2) over Seahawks
The Rams won a nice game over Washington last week. Sam Bradford looks like he will be a good quarterback in this league. The Seahawks won last week because of some nice run backs by Washington and some strong defence to close out Phillip Rivers. The Seahawks look great at home because they have a real home field advantage. They obviously lose this advantage on the road. The Rams should be able to pull this one out in a close game that very few people actually watch.

Jets (-6.5) over BILLS
Just because Buffalo played New England close does not mean they are a good team. Ryan Fitzpatrick is not a good quarterback and the Jets defence is way way better than the Patriots. It will be a lower scoring game than last week and the Bills will frankly be lucky to put up 10. The Jets should dominate this game by running with Tomlinson who I clearly wrote off too early. Wont be a big blow out but will be more than a touchdown.

Colts (-7) over JAGUARS
Just two opposite teams. A good team and a bad team. Jags usually play the Colts tough but MJD just doesn’t look as good this year and any team that is picking up Buffalo’s garbage off the scrap heap is just not going to be able to compete especially against Manning.

Texans (-3.5) over RAIDERS
I don’t think the Raiders are that bad but I am not convinced that they have th ability to win games. I think that Houston will be able to move the ball on the Raiders and will end up with a lot of yards on Sunday. The Raiders, like the Saints, probably should look at switching kickers. That display last week was horrible.

CHARGERS (-9) over Cardinals
I can’t believe that the Cardinals are 2-1. They are a horrible football team. They should have lost last week to the Raiders but somehow won. They have a slight edge on special team which the Chargers have shown they are horrible at but the battle will be between Rivers and Anderson. I am taking Rivers for obvious reasons. Add in the fact that the Chargers will be getting Ryan Mathews back makes this an even easier pick.

EAGLES (-5.5) over Red Skins
I have a terrible feel for this game. McNAbb, I think, will have a very dominant game but I worry that he just doesn’t have the running game to back him up. Vick has looked good against bad teams so far this year. I am not sure if Washington is bad but I am leaning that way. I think the Eagles win by a touchdown in a game that a lot of people will be watching. Also McNabb will get booed, you can bet on that.

Bears (+3.5) over GIANTS
Have the Giants done anything to show that they should be a 3.5 point favourite over an undefeated team? No. Chicago showed it can beat undisciplined teams and the Giants showed that they can play undisciplined. Cutler has played well so far this season and maybe he is due to have a thre pick game but I don’t think it will be this week. You can move the ball on the Giants defence and the Bears should do that this week.

DOLPHINS (+1) over Patriots
This game will be close. I like the Dolphins because I think New England’s defence is that bad and they are on the road. Should be a high scoring game still because the Patriots can put up points like crazy. I’ll take the point and hope that is enough.

I was 8-8 last week for an overall record of 21-24-3 . I feel good about this week though!
